  1. I was exhausted with a massive headache by the end of that episode. EPIC! It must have been incredible to film those scenes. A lot of work and effort. Production, editing & CGI too
  2. No XT brakes were harmed in the filming of this video ( I mean the end part, outside the pub)
  3. Loving this series!

  6. Whats next to the bell? A cement pill dispenser ? This type of bell is a better option: https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/283241-forza-bicycle-bell/ https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/358648-black-steel/
  7. Episode 2 was such a slow brewed build up to the battle, and then it ended. I felt like I had DSB when the credits suddenly rolled
  8. Great to Watch! Mad skills on both sides of the camera. Love the little details, and even the odd little whoopsie

He must have been at max power for a few KM to close that gap and keep powering past everyone. Incredible! His emotion and tears after the finish is infectious. The disbelief at his own achievement: http://cdn.media.cyclingnews.com/2019/04/21/1/bettiniphoto_0388822_1_2000px_670.jpg

That moment you realise you're racing MvdP this on any weekend Borrowed from Oliver Naesen's Twitter
  12. 13. That was a fun morning! Thanks to everyone involved ????????
  14. So, I picked up a pair of the 25mm Gavia AC 1's to go on my Argent wheels. It was a REAL mission to clean off the old damaged rim tape. Finding new tape was a PITA. LBS recommended Enduro Seal. Fitting the tyres wasn't as hard as expected and they eventually sealed and held air (after several pump and spin sessions). They are quite a bit heavier than the GP4000's they replaced, but feel a lot more robust (like Gatorksins). Time will tell how they hold up... (Interesting to note that they are quite a bit smaller than the 25mm GP 4000's they replace. Tyre clearance was a real issue)
  15. A thing of beauty! What build kit have you chosen to compliment this frame with ?
  16. Because marketing Did I think I thought I saw Aaron Gwin somewhere there in the footage ? (0.3 seconds per clip of action makes it hard to focus)
  17. It didn't feel like it at trans Baviaans a year or two ago. Judging by the amount of bottles on the road (including my own), everyone was suffering. The frequency of the bumps was different along the route, so rebound setting on your suspension wouldn't work everywhere. But then again, dual suspension doesn't turn your bike into a magic carpet that floats over everything.
  18. The Brits are pretty good with that. Short, sweet and to the point
  19. We had a disc brake vs rim brake moment a few years ago with exactly that scenario. Luckily my ninja reflexes steered me away from the disc brake equipped bike i.e. he stopped, while I avoided
  20. I suffered and slogged through Westworld Season 2 hoping to get some clarity on WTF is going on, but got lost in multiple timelines. I kept wondering if I had too much, or not enough wine with supper... A very interesting concept and overall storyline, but my tired little brain found the convolutions hard to follow. I hope that there isn't a season 3, as I will feel compelled to watch it...
  21. Ok, that was the clincher - The Mrs and I will be there. We are trying to rope in an extra mate each

  23. A year later, and it's still being worked on. https://bikerumor.com/2019/04/11/niner-mcr-full-suspension-gravel-bike-flies-closer-to-production/ When you reach the point that you feel that you need this bike, don't you stop to ask yourself: 'is this really the right bike for the job ?'
  24. Much nicer looking than the Altum. No word on pricing, but I imagine that its a case of 'if you have to ask...' Edit: Complete bicycles start at $6,599 for the Ultegra Di2 configuration with SRAM RED eTap AXS at $7,989.00 and Dura-Ace Di2 at $8,479
  25. Do you find yourself puckering, bracing for impact or preparing to take evasive action (tuck and roll onto kerb or dive into the bushes) or Does it just give you an extra layer of awareness ?
