  1. Need: 2 x Mountain King 2.2 UST and 2 x Conti GP4000s I'm in S/West. Let me know.
  2. Got nuttin to do with, who whips who. Never heard so much whining and bleating as I do in a cycling bunch BTW Shouldn't you keep your leather and chains fetish under wraps? You coming out ?
  3. Run a 24hr circuit race, or a 3-6 day circuit race... even run a multiday stage trail run.....no comparision, 24 hours on a bike is "easier". Done them all. Just need to do a multiday MTB stage race, to compare as close as possible. Doing the Grape Escape , so will give feedback on that compared to multiday running. Cyclists are pussys.
  4. I'm out. Got an entry into the Grape Escape BTW remember your lights, IT WILL still be darkish @ your planned 6h00-6h15 start.
  5. Effort for the Bay City, that's where you will "score" non existant PPA brownie points. The Wingerd is too easy of an race.
  6. I maybe alone here but here goes..... Above all I wish, safety first to the riders of the TofSA and all the support staff thereof. But I do not wish the best of luck to the organisers or CSA for the rest of the race. I hope it gets worse in fact and that the whole tour is a monumental f$%^ up. Why? Beacuse the CSA will always sweep things under the rug and try explain away their ineptness. It sounds harsh but in order for things to change , things have to get worse with this race. No matter what you believe, there are and never will be any excuses, for what has been a total "cycling" embarassment to the country.
  7. This just gets better and better. I'm no friend of the CSA (or anyone who tries to defend them here) but how long has it been since the Tour of SA was announced (inception) to actually it starting on the roads? A couple of months ? Surely not enough time for any organisation to even remotely get all the logistics right ? A case of less haste and more speed?
  8. Again as per my post above, the guy who pushed in front of him, could not have been in the same group. Sure he was a chop but had no affect on G's place or time in his group.
  9. G, the RACTEC results show that you finished 3 mins down on the 1st & 2nd places in your I group ? So the guy who pushed in front of you could not have been in your batch ?
  10. I have a problem with this though.... Pray tell me where are the insults here in this thread dude ? 'Cause if you are getting edgy with this post i suggest you go and mod posts/threads from known insult mongers like BigH et al. Yes, you are a mod but comments like this and the Big Brother KGB approach is just plain not on.
  11. This should have been dealt with differently. Not on here. Joey 100 ain't a BAD SELLER IMO. Sure a "sales blip" in regards to giving the goods away to the 1st come 1st serve dude. But WTF?; posting "bad seller" as a headline, just isn't on.
  12. Entries not open ?
  13. Caring sort I am I saw that Sunday was a good one for you, indeed, congrats. Method in madness and all that.
  14. You puncture a lot I gather. Used to be Woosie had the title but now it's officially yours ....Puncture Boy. BTW you cast a lonely figure on the side of the road on Saturday, felt sorry for you dude :D
  15. I went 20mins faster than last year and the index was almost identical.....tell me that aint FUBAR !!!!
  16. Still a need for lights at 6am dude, even more so in 3 weeks time. Sunrise is a minute later every day.
  17. 5:30
  18. Haven't you left for OZ yet ? Go already !
  19. Don't mean to be rude AirB....but quite honestly the frequency of PPA updates (irrespective of whether it was indeed the topic) is just not that big of a deal and quite frankly not really an interesting topic to waste our time on. The real issue is the PPA flawed seeding system and whether they friggin update the seeds 20 times a month, I don't believe they deserve commendations for frequency......GET THE FRIGGIN SYSTEM RIGHT ....and then maybe i'll commend them.
  20. 1293m for Argus 1095m for 99er from my Garmin
  21. 1095m of ascent for the 99er from Garmin. I need to check for the Argus(think I may have not saved it) and no data for TdeStellies as i haven't done it before. But IMHO the 99er is tougher than the Argus.
  22. Maybe, the alter ego cycling version of the Wannabees in the H'berg, is what is required i.e. skinny race snakes that weigh little more than a sparrow's fart, trying to out gun each other and have a pissing contest on every hill ? Probably, a lot better for you trying to hold onto these guys rather than sitting in with cyslists dressed in that awful red & yellow checks with a dumbass looking insect?
  23. J riders .... sorry to burst your bubble here but the law of averages and stats ain't on your side.....wind or no wind........in order to get the times you are looking for, you will need to donate a kidney or more. Take a look at J groups ave. finishing times for the last couple of years. 2010 - winning time 3h26m 2009 - 3h58m winning 2008 - 3h01m winning....after first 20 riders, ave. time increase dramatically 2007 - 3h04m winning....after first 20 riders ave. time increase dramatically But hey you guys are top 20 right ? And good luck anyway.
