Apologies, I couldn't make it; had vehicle remote alarm issues (bakkie went in for a service last week !!!). Saw MariusL on a training ride yesterday and told him I realised I only had Tankman's tel.no.(he wasn't riding) and no one elses'. Couldn't phone to say I was going to be late. Got the car going by about 05h30. Big up to those that hang'd in there.

The braai afterwards was good and the company we kept; excellent. Lotsa good old fashioned chirping. Just like the team was on the road. No moaning or groaning, just helpful chirps and encouragement. Also; the most Afrikaans (it was probably the 6pack of Pilsner Urquell I downed) I've spoken in 20 years.......long chats with the farmer whose house we stayed in :D

In the time (4 years) that I've been back in SA; from previously working for 8 years in the US, the following has happened: Wife mugged and attacked - twice.... at Mall and place of work Wife and daugher attacked in their car on the N2 highway while stuck in traffic jam. Bricks thrown at my car, my wife's car and at me while on my motorbike on the N2. It's only a matter of time IMO until somthing more "serious" happens.

Grapevine stuffed up that one. I can proudly say that I've never watched an episode of this sheet . However; Mara does raise IMO some interesting points. 1. Other than DSTV airing their black shareholders advert every friggin 10 mins (WTF?) accross all channels, has there ever been stats on viewer household breakdown, according to demographic? 2. What are the races of all the past winners ? Sasha Lee is coloured ? But that doesn't really count because she ain't black and her (joint)winning was an IT f@rk up. 3. If Idols did move to SABC, yep, in it's first season on SABC, probably would be a black winner for the first time.

The lesser one IMO. If you hadn't had your HR strap on with the 500, you would have got closer to the higher values above. I have a mapped course that I do regularly and if I use a HRM with the 500 the cal values are between 900-1100. I forgot the HRM on the ride onetime and the cal value was 2850 !!!!
