Yup, I've busted my b@lls over winter, to get the seeding thing going. Improved all times over all distances (F seeded for One Tonner and a good DC ) but didn't work. So MTB it is :D BTW I have an EZ 4 u, just let me know....I'm based in Bree Street now, so won't be out your way much.

+1....same here... 24mins for the Cobra & over 25 for Ride4. The One Tonner my result seeded as a F; the other 2 seeded races I'm a I...so stay at I. Need more longer races and yes I've bought a MTB !

If you build it (wait for it) he (it) will come. Last year there were more than 25-30 entries for sale, at prices down to 20% of purchase value and less. Some Pommie dude even gave his away for free (excl. substitution). Train like you are already entered and ready to do the Epic and hope that I'm right

Discussed this yesterday on the ride........no differnce between wearing Pro full team gear and World Champ stripes for the everyday rider. If you like it, bugger what anyone else thinks, as long as you are happy.

AirB IMO.....go for new (where you have a warranty) unless you personally are friends with the person you are buying 2nd hand from and can kill them if they rip you off :D Stay away from carbon deep sections intially (IMO a waste of time here in the Cape, especially in Summer PPA/League races) and go for something like the EA 90 SLX's....all round use, bullet proof, ;light & good value.

Hi Spat...will have to let AirB answer that one, as i had to be at work by 09h30 in town and thus continued onto Westlake from Simonstown missing out on Naval and OuKaapse...had 27.8km ave. for 75km's when I finished on my Garmin. Some riding was leisurely and some was macho bull riding :D !

I was there yesterday. Rode from S/West along R102 thru Dbnville, to do 3xrepeats of Vissershoek. Decided after 2xrepeats in the dense mist and cars zooming past me with no hard shoulder that i should quit while the going was good...felt a tad "exposed" with only a small Frog rear light !!!

The EPIC is becoming a farce and the circus; that is OneBall, will make it even more of a money making racket. The Epic and LA deserve one another. All I wish for Christmas is that the fervour & energy with which the likes of SwissVan & Dangle believe that LA is good for cycling yadda yadda yadda.... that they would channel that wasted energy into stopping cyclists jump red lights, ride single file and f00kin' (oops) moderate da Hub! If you can spend a little more get the 310XT. IMO is the way to go. Got one and love it !
