From Riviersonderend you can go North or South of the N2 Day 3 Swellendam to Oudebosch farm North of Riversdale via Zuurbraak Day 4 Oudebosch to van Wyksdorp via Gysmanshoek Pass . Overnight at Rooiberg Lodge . Day 5 Rooiberg Lodge to Calitzdorp via Rooiberg Pass. Alternatively Rooiberg Lodge to Ladismith. Cross the R62 . Day 6 Ladismith to Calitzdorp via Hoeko valley road Day 7 Calitzdorp to Prince Albert via Kruisrivier . Come say hello

Interesting dilemma the OP has . am in a similar position and going to follow this I have a build up On One steel frame running 1 x 11 with a suspension fork. Itching to do something with it . considering a monster cross build as I have a ht and a full suss and a road bike . but then thinking if I fit a set of gravel tyres and leave it as it is I would save a lot of money and I will have the same effect as on a gravel bike . I am long past racing and prefer comfort to speed . except a gravel bike look is so cool 😇

Missed this a few times now due to bad planning on my side . Not this time . Accommodation in Montague booked .

Got my route fixed done George to Hermanus a few times . But always went South of the N2 between Swellendam and Riviersonderend want to go North of the N2 in March . Will look at the route Guidedog posted . Perhaps a bit long for some members of the group I am going take .

Guided a group of cyclists from Knysna to Uniondale this past Monday . We did not do Ou Wapad . Prince Alfred Pass is smooth . The climb out of De Vlucht heading to Knysna is rough with deep washouts. From Buffelsnek to Kom se Pad turnoff is good , better than previous years . We did not do Kom se Pad .
