Robodog, those Oozy's look lekker but what would the approximate damage be? Getting Spank pedals would match my Spank Spike bar and stem very nicely that's for sure! I have however found getting a hold of some of the Spank items locally can be a bit of a challenge...

Out of interest, what shoes do you wear henningvr? Finding flat pedal specific UK13's that are wide is not an easy endeavor!

OK cool, well definitely won't discount the Saints too quickly then! Can't argue with the affordability of the Saint's compared to the other options. The Stamp's have a pretty fierce price from what I've seen so far!

Awesome, shot for the input. Will check what options are available. Considered the Saints but I think wider would be even better!

    Flat pedals

A question for the knowledgeable flat pedal folk. Which flat pedals would you recommend for big wide feet i.e. UK12+? Do you think that wider/bigger platform pedals would make any discernible difference? My thinking is yes as a UK8 shoe would arguably fit a whole lot better onto a pedal compared to a UK13, for example. I have been using the Giant flats for a fair few rides now and, while they have been doing a decent enough job, I find that a portion of my shoe hangs off the outer edge of the pedal leading to increased leg fatigue and a bit of discomfort (I wear a UK13). Would a wider platform pedal help with this? Or do I just need to work on foot placement more?
  6. Due South seem to have a couple sizes available online. Maybe you're lucky enough to be one of a UK7, 9 or 13... http://www.duesouth.co.za/pdp/adidas-men-s-terrex-trail-cross-sl-shoe-black/_/A-194614AAAH5
  7. Reviving this thread again. Any feedback on the Treads, specifically the sizing and fit? Was the wide and tall toe box retained?

Fork, that's lekker! Want for the Scout...one day
  10. Only available pricing is in USD at the moment. $379 for the Factory post and $329 for the Performance post. That includes the cost of the lever. Local availability and pricing TBC

  13. Yip, considered this as well. So far no feedback from the stores I have contacted. Will be following up. Cool, thanks will look into this. The 2FO clip is available locally in a EU48 but I doubt that this could work well on a flat pedal with the cleat recess...although this was suggested to be an option since the 2FO flat is unavailable.
  14. Anyone have suggested options for the large end of the flat pedal shoe spectrum? Tried on the only EU48 Five Ten that is available locally (Freerider Contact) and it was too small The 2FO flat is currently not available locally in a EU48. Any other options?
  15. You can try using the chart below to check if the 420mm stealth will fit your medium OneTen
  16. Ok cool, thanks for the heads up rouxtjie. Good to know
  17. What about MX Alliance? They seem to stock TLD pads...unless I'm missing something https://mxalliance.co.za/product-category/bicycle/protection-bicycle/?ppp=72
  18. Cool, thanks for the advice. Most reviews suggest they are not a problem but worth keeping in mind. Mostly getting a list of options together and trying to see if these are viable. Seems the Dainese are falling to the bottom of the list now.
  19. Anyone know if Dainese trail skins knee guards are available locally? http://www.fc-moto.de/WebRoot/FCMotoDB/Shops/10207048/5330/0240/63B9/0022/9D5D/4DEB/AE41/94A2/TRAIL-SKINS-KNEE-GUARD.jpg
  20. OK cool, guess it's the only option really. Should work out. The goal is really to avoid having a cable that is flapping around and allowed to possibly cause significant cable rub on the frame.
  21. Having confirmed it is possible to drill the hole in the old frame to accommodate the stealth, the question I have is how are you going to route the cable? The newer frames have the option to route the stealth cable underneath the down tube with the rear derailleur cable and rear brake hose to then go through the hole in the frame, whilst the older frames only have the routing option for two cables on top of the down tube (AFAIK). So where will the stealth cable be routed on the older frame?
  22. Yeah I would agree in that the bare FD mount wasn't a bother, but I saw an opportunity for a bit of tinkering which appealed to me! Makes little difference really but was fun to get the design right (well to me at least) . The colour of my 110 is the standard 2015 paint job. The colour in the pics is likely an artefact of the HDR feature of my phone camera, makes it look more like a matte green! Attached a pic of my bike in its natural surrounds, think the standard colour is more apparent in it.
  23. Thanks Flow ! Had to teach myself some 3D modelling, was a fun mini project
