  1. Well done to Tiaan but huge respect to Fourie, she's getting quicker and quicker each season
  2. I don't know much about the Giant SL, any good?
  3. I think the pricing is about R500 off. At R1500 it would be a no-brainer but at R2k for a rather rudimentary setup I'd start considering biting the bullet hard and investing in a KS rather.
  4. Big fan of White Lightning Clean Ride and Wet Ride: http://www.whitelightningco.com/products/
  5. One of those good days when you're the last people at the track
  6. Proof that you don't have to have high end equipment and editing software if you know how to compose a story with a camera.
  7. It's a nice sentiment and would alleviate a lot of problems but it's totally unenforceable.
  8. Awesome news and I dig the kit. Can someone explain to a total road novice what our chances are of featuring in any way? Could the guys punch above their weight like Team Shosholoza did or try take a stage or is it more about exposure for the 60% guys.
  9. This is fantastic news! If there's any rugby on that weekend we won't have to listen to Joel Stransky's commentating.
  10. Are there any good, shorter trail runs for those getting fit again… or is it just Parkrun and then 20km?

  12. Scored one of these for Christmas, thanks mom. Peach, see you at the next clinic.
  13. Thanks Iwan. Any hints at price yet?
  14. So any news on when they plan to put the bike into production or is it going to remain on order? I'm seriously thinking of flogging ALL my bikes and just settling for a burly, simple, 140mm-160mm hardtail that I can use for everything. Currently looking at the Cotic BFE or Soul but that Monkey looks damn nice.
  15. I'm putting in an overseas order soon, express courier so no SAPO. I can land the High Roller IIs at about the following, (possibly less if more are ordered): MAXXIS HIGH ROLLER II Folding Tyre 26x2.40 R750,00 MAXXIS HIGH ROLLER II Folding Tyre 27.5x2.40 R750,00 MAXXIS HIGH ROLLER II Folding Tyre 26x2.30 R850,00 MAXXIS HIGH ROLLER II Folding Tyre 27.5 x2.30 R750,00
  16. That Hero4 Black is impressive but R7500! That's getting into body parts territory.
  17. I'd love to have this problem. Personally I really like the X0. I use it on one of my bikes and it's just so reliable and smooth and it looks great. I never have problems with it.
  18. What would you know? You and Peach and Patches are only qualified engineers with a lot of experience servicing your bikes backed by documentation from the manufacturers that supports what you're saying as well as articles from reputable bike websites. But that's none of my business.
  19. If you don't want to fall into the trap of buying a bike for every purpose then a 140-160 travel all mountain bike will let you do pretty much anything from Downhill to cross country and specialising in Enduro. Guys have even done Sani2Sea on those bikes and 26 inch second hand models are reasonably priced. They're called all mountain for a reason.
  20. That doesn't sound right. Did you contest it with them? I had the opposite recently. I ordered a pair of shoes in with my bike parts and landed the set of 5.10s for R1000.
