  1. Awesome, looking forward to seeing you there! Be sure to comment with your "Bike Hub" name so we can recognise the Hubbers on the route. Enjoy!
  2. We're opening up space in the Pain.Cave studios free of charge on a first come basis. We're hoping to create some fun with this event... You will have to have your own ZWIFT subscription however. And you own bike... Trainers used is all 5 PainCaves are Wahoo KICKR.
  3. Get ready to RUMBLE! We know you are tired of riding shoulder to shoulder with Aussies and Kiwis - that is why starting this Wednesday 19:35, its time for you South African Zwifters (Zaffas) to come out fighting! Wednesday night kicks off our “Fight Night” on Zwift, a 1- 1 ½ hour race (dependent on the course) specifically for us South Africans. Yes, we are going to have to let in a couple of Aussies, Kiwis and any nationality that doesn’t understand the difference between now, just now and now now……but we really want that screen filled with South African flags! How? I’ll get to that now now. Our Chief Torturers from our national PainCave.co.za clubs will join you in this race series and ensure there is at least some pain. The PainCave “Fight Night” race runs for 25 weeks with your best 10 races counting towards final standings and possibly even some great prizes courtesy of BuyCycle.co.za and paincave.co.za The format of the race series will be based on age and not watts/kg. If you don’t have access to a smart trainer at home, head off to www.paincave.co.za and book a slot at any of our studios for the Wednesday night “Fight Night” – there will be a couple of FREE slots available at each studio (first come first served……chat to them now!) https://zwift.com/events/view/64197 We will be adding more details over the next couple of days and weeks….so keep on heading back to check the latest news. This is a series organised and run by Zaffas for all you Saffas! NOTE: While Zwift is sorting out European GDPR regulations for Zwiftpower.com we will not be able to display a leaderboard. We are however confident that this will sorted out soon. So no prizes until this is sorted out, only bragging rights. Be quirky, be fun, be lekker. Enjoy the race!
  4. Eurobike is a month away and usually brings new launches... Pehaps Fenix 6? R4,000 seems a good price for a second hand unit. The software a bit sluggish, but no fault on the hardware.
  5. Camber takes my vote... Both looks great.
  6. I found in using the TICKR FIT for a couple of months now that when I'm wearing it with the sensor on the inside of my front arm (I wear it on my left arm for no particular reason) I get very accurate peaks and responsiveness. My tought is because that part of my arm is quite "veiny" the pick up is very consistent and can not compare with the very expensive wrist units I own.
  7. Thanks for the kind words Alan, We've forwarded your compliments to Trudie and her team. Kind regards
  8. Hey HarryN, All your Wahoo products are in safe hands. Any issues just contact support@wahoofitness.co.za With regards to the TICKR Belt: 1) I would recommend hand wash rather. Washing machines can be hard on the receiver electronics in the belt. A good rinse will do. A tip I have is to do a quick rinse from time to time while you take you post workout shower. 2) The Wahoo TICKR range has an IPX7 Waterproof rating (roughly 1.5 meters) so swimming is good. Scuba not so much. Enjoy the IDT during this cold front! You local Wahooligan!
  9. Hello PygaSchmyga, As the agents for the Wahoo Fitness brand in South Africa we take comments like this very seriously. It is not our culture to have a customer hanging and waiting for an answer. We have three dedicated customer support team members looking after KICKR support and after sales service and have only improved our quality of customer service. We are definitely not in the business to only move units, but we aim to create a world class experience on the indoor trainer. We would also not jeopardise a relationship with an authorised retailer in this way either. The support you receive from them in a swop out would be backed by our CS and management team. As managing director I will send you a PM with my contact details and would like to follow up on the situation to get better clarity on how we can improve further. Christian
  10. Thanks for the kind words on the Wahoo products. Just as a side note on customer services. We now have two full time customer Service staff members to assist with any customer query or hardware issue. We also stock all replacement and service parts for the trainers. We strive to be the leaders in customer support for indoor trainers.

  12. small little icon to look out for... Just to be safe.
  13. RRP on the KICKR is definitely R17,999 Everywhere except for Chris Willemse...
  14. Recommended Retail for the: KICKR 3 - R17,999 incl VAT and free delivery (included 11 speed cassette and RPM Cadence sensor) KICKR SNAP 2 - R8,999 incl VAT and Free delivery Can you update the pricing? Looking at the flux you are minus the Cassette and cadence sensor which comes in at R1500 - R2000 worth of value. Something you will need to fork out at a stage. Comparing apples with Apples the flux will cost you around R14,000 compared to the R17,999 KICKR 3. Also check compatibility on TACX products for Boost/Through Axle
  15. Get the Wahoo one with an added extender cable: https://www.buycycle.co.za/mountain-bike/technology/computers/wahoo-fitness-usb-ant-dongle-with-extender-cable/ Free shipping included
  16. I recall this guy saying exactly the same words...
  17. If they had a choice... These poor prisoners we call pro cyclists: 1995 We all know that if they had a choice they would all be using Cateye 2004 We all know that if they had a choice they would all be using Polar 2018 We all know that if they had a choice they would all be using Garmin Looking forward to how things change in the next couple of years...
  18. Guys guys guys... We can not disregard approval from the pro's completely. They pay for nothing they use, just like other sport stars. Cricket, tennis etc... If we are consistent, we will end up being sceptics on all products used by pros just because they got it for free... It does not mean they use sub par products in their attempt to be world champions. In many cases the slightest disadvantage can mean losing out.
  19. Sagan Approves... And Marcel Kittle... And our first commonwealth medalist, Henri Schoeman... This is a great bike PC.
  20. What trainer are you using? Laptop works best with an ANT+ USB Dongle: https://www.buycycle.co.za/mountain-bike/technology/computers/wahoo-fitness-usb-ant-dongle-with-extender-cable/
  21. 4K not required, I simply run the 4'th generation Apple TV.
  22. Also consider that the KICKR ships with a 11 speed cassette already fitted and a RPM Cadence sensor. The adds roughly R2,000 worth of extras on a R17,999 KICKR. So technically you're only paying R15,999 for a KICKR.
  23. Depending on where you are shipping CWC asks R100 -R150. Buycycle free delivery on everything Site Wide. Sorry to say, but the devil is in the detail. Also, with Buycycle no grey imports EVER, so you are guaranteed to get you local warrantees.
  24. Bezzera Espresso machine Circa 2000 Mazzer Super Jolly Life makes sense...
