  1. Hi Shaper, The KICKR CORE is expected to land 1'st October and retail at R13,999 incl VAT. This is a conservatively proposed price as we simply do not know what the exchange rate will do. The good news is that we do not expect the price to be higher than this and at best the price might come down slightly. Should you have a pre-order in place you will receive a refund on the difference when it ships. Key differences to note vs KICKR '18: - Ships without RPM Cadence - Ships without a cassette Will however have the same silent drive that comes with the KICKR 2018
  2. Hello Rudolph, Thanks for considering the Wahoo KICKR. It will be the best buy you ever make Regarding the differences. Wahoo simply made minor improvements on a bullet proof product that does not require much change. The have however made the following changes based on customer feedback: - The KICKR 4 2018 will be silent. Based on feedback from customers this was a major point of improvement to compete against the sound of the NEO. - The heavier flywheel makes the true road inertia a bit more realistic. - Adjusted carry handle for compatibility. The other points you have made already works with the KICKR i.e axle compatibility, Headwind/Climb integration. So whether you buy a KICKR 2017 / 2018 there are minor differences and either way you have a bulletproof, solid, pain cave machine.
  3. Support calls... I predict MANY people blaming their indoor trainers and not their device or software.
  4. New products may launch... But indoor trainers will only realistically make it to shelves by northern hemisphere winter (October) to capitalise on the Trainer season sales. I would not hold my breath for discounted deals very soon... I would keep an eye on the new product launches.
  5. Done... I'm doing it.
  6. Fox Ascent bibs are lekker too.
  7. I recall this guy saying exactly the same words...
  8. If they had a choice... These poor prisoners we call pro cyclists: 1995 We all know that if they had a choice they would all be using Cateye 2004 We all know that if they had a choice they would all be using Polar 2018 We all know that if they had a choice they would all be using Garmin Looking forward to how things change in the next couple of years...
  9. Guys guys guys... We can not disregard approval from the pro's completely. They pay for nothing they use, just like other sport stars. Cricket, tennis etc... If we are consistent, we will end up being sceptics on all products used by pros just because they got it for free... It does not mean they use sub par products in their attempt to be world champions. In many cases the slightest disadvantage can mean losing out.
  10. Sagan Approves... And Marcel Kittle... And our first commonwealth medalist, Henri Schoeman... This is a great bike PC.

  14. It works well if the community using them is big. Rather go for these: https://www.pricecheck.co.za/search?search=tile+-+phone Works on the same principle but has a much larger community and solid application.
  15. +1 On the Apple TV set up... No way to ZWIFT any cheaper. I also find the quality and responsiveness very good. Need a Bluetooth HR belt, but other than that it is really cool.
  16. We are working hard at making the connection with Vitality official, there is however a workaround that our users made us aware of: https://tapiriik.com Uploading files via this portal gives you your points and is a very simple process.
  17. Tool free, Takes 5 seconds change.
  18. I have a SPEAR 900, best light in the 900 lumens class by far. Wide floodlight, (the 900 lumens is not a spot, but a wide wash) the aluminium finish is also very fancy.
  19. The Wahoo TICKR X will measure stride and cadence data for you. Has internal smart features.
