  1. Very unlikely. If there are a couple of strong okes with you, you might have a slim chance.
  2. NOOO!! he had his chance to collect a story in 2009. Too bad if he missed it.
  3. about you or the Argus? only joking, it is an awesome story
  4. My first thoughts was, "I wonder if those shoes have cleats"
  5. HBO

    Argus Sub 3 Kit

But will you do it with or without the kit
  6. so shall we all rather ride with fat bikes?
  7. .....because you will blow further and land in the see and not on the rocks
  8. There is a safe designated bike park, where you can leave your bike. Just follow everyone else after the finish.
  9. Well, what is the scenario if it is NW? Wasn't the wind of 2009 a NW? The early predictions is a fairly NW- (I know it's still a long way out and the forecasts will change everyday from here onwards)
  10. I forecast this last year already.
  11. HEY!!!! those balls are not from plastic!! Dis van Yster boet.
  12. also in 1F, dropped two bunches from last year. I actually thought I will start further back, so quite happy.
  13. I see the Carnival City has a penalty of 5. This doesn't do my seeding any favours Does anyone perhaps know why it has a penalty?? It was in November last year, so it can't be for time unless somebody screwed up.
  14. Try Cycle House in Pta North- R 850. You get your bike at the expo and give it to them at the finish. Awesome guys with awesome service. They do put it in a box though.
  15. Its because he didn't took his eyes of it yet
  16. Agree with you 100%. I don't like the dropped seat stay look that most brands are adopting now. Trek definitely got that right. The bike in the pic does look a bit "af" with that dropped stem. How aero does that guy want to be? It cant be comfortable.
  17. Whaahhaaahhaa, I must admit, I bought some tekkies for me and my wife last year and shopped around a bit also at running specific shops. They were cheaper than everybody else and I also got some very good advice which was surprising. The lady which was assisting us were quite informed and definitely knows her tekkies. The tekkies cost me R 4 500 for both pairs of which I've got 25% back. This was a couple of months before Disco's shoe booster
  18. yip, I'm also trying to still loose a few kilo's. Training lately is way off par, especially due to me kidney stone thingy. thankfully I go on leave next weak for 4 weeks and will put some serious rides in.
  19. looking at everyone's times here for the two races it sort of puts that wind at carnival in perspective. With equal weather 94.7 should be much tougherer. I would say, considering the difference in distance the times should be more or less equal, maybe even a bit longer for 94.7 due to them hills.
  20. I am sub 3 material. Did 94.7 last year in 2h48 and Carnival this year in 2h56. I didn't do 94.7 this year due to kidney stone issue 3 days prior to the race. I'm curios to what Piet changed to get that massive improvement. I still want to improve my times since my dream goal is a sub 3 CTCT which I just missed last year due to a dropped chain. Hopefully I can learn something from him.
  21. Awesome improvement. What did you do differently? Trained more/ harder/ differently? Lost weight? Please share.
  22. Nice Video and a strong ride.
  23. There is a nice race in November- Carnival City Macsteel National Classic. You should try it out
  24. Also keen for an A Team, R4S perhaps?
