  5. The other thing that does not happen in SA is that you can not get spares/parts for some of the items, I saw on the Shimano website that you can order almost to the last nut and bolt. I needed to replace a shifter on my MTB and when queried here with a couple of bike shops is that you can only get them in pairs

  8. It was mentioned on Super Cycling by Farmer Glen that there will be a third race the same time as the adventure and race
  9. When my broken marathon frame was replaced last week with the new Sensor frame I had to get a new rear shock as the travel was diffrent, and yes they did come to the party regarding the price of a new shock which I was happy to pay as now I have a brand new frame and shock.
  10. I have just had my GT Marathon 1 MTB (Aluminium) frame replaced under the GT warranty, (cracked it on Day 2 at Sani2c) it was replaced with a GT Sensor frame as they do not manufacture the old frame anymore and it was sorted out within a week with my LBS here is JHB. All I can say is that I had good service all round.

  19. I think back pedal breaks are must for kids around 3-5, they just dont have enough strength in their hands to pull a break hard enough for them to stop in time
  20. And add a little mud to it and your cycling shorts getting a bit wet
  21. Ride there quite often as we have a house there and it is good riding, no hils though. If you ride the perimeter along the fence you should get about 30kms and then include some of the single track as mentioned above
  22. Where do you guys order your seals for a Fox fork, I see CRC does not have any
  23. Those sign holders definately make Joburg great
  24. I think we should all thank the Joburg residents who allow us to have the full road closure, if it were not for the residents patience and tolerance this race would never survive. I think the cycle challenge office should put a full page add in The Star to thank them
  25. I PVR it and then fastforward and stop if I see anything interesting, normally takes 10 mins to watch
