  1. Ha ha, I'm in the same boat as you. Also looking for wheels for J2C except I'm a little lighter and so is my budget. Building a set on CRC seems a good bet.
  2. Not sure if I like the sus design. Are those Crosstrail wheels? How are they?
  3. I'm looking for a decent tubeless wheelset. I've narrowed it down to these 2 options. They are both exactly the same weight (1815g), look pretty sweet and have good reviews. The Mavics are R600 more expensive on CRC. What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards the red metals. Or am I overlooking some other options? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=15760 TimHenman2009-12-19 02:33:40
  4. Holy ****! How much?
  5. Those are yellow.
  6. How much for the tree?
  7. Who did the deal for you and how much did you end up paying? (If you don't mind me asking). Awesome buy.

  10. Except if you got Sram Twisters cos then you only got one choice.
  11. Whatever Spaso, go find a waterpolo forum or something.
  12. Ha ha, you wouldn't believe how many people were begging for some sort of narcotic at the bottom of the Spioenkop climb on Saturday. The answer to your first question: Doctors never get injured or sick, everyone knows that.
  13. Ricky, you can give Morphine IVI (into the vein). It works faster but then you just gotta be careful about dosages. Agree with Sabc, most trails have sections that are completely inaccessible to anything bigger than a MTB. We are reasonable riders so we just hung back and then bent the cranks a bit as soon as we heard there was an injury ahead.
  14. Point taken. It would not be necessary to replace all medics with doctors but just to have one or two marshalling the troops and making referral decisions. Expense? I'm not sure, I need to look into how much these companies are charging to cover a race.
  15. Ok, who's the Grey's Anatomy clown? Seriously.
  16. Done.
  17. Some of the medics are allowed to give opioids like Morphine but all are very hesitant as they usually have very little experience with these drugs.
  18. Thanks SteelyDan, I thought so too.
  19. Well Face Plant, going by your name you would need us a bit more than others...
  20. Morning Hubbers. Allow me to explain... This last weekend the Natro Berg and Bush (fantastic race) introduced a novel concept. They had two qualified doctors (dressed in recognizable race kit and carrying cetain medical equipment and drugs) riding the race, one in the middle of the field and one towards the back. We then stopped and assisted at any injuries we came accross and could also communicate via radio with ambulance paramedics. We seemed to be well received, we could get to parts of the trail that were inaccessible even to quad bikes and were better qualified than the paramedics to give on-the-spot treatment. As an example: On Sunday a guy dislocated his shoulder, within 20 - 30 minutes I had got to him, administered Morphine and relocated the shoulder joint right there on the side of the trail. Do you think this concept is one which should be extended to other races?TimHenman2009-11-03 02:07:41
  21. A little harsh, but yes she should be made to realise the seriousness of her crime.
  22. Hang around for a decent 2nd hand deal for that money. You're gonna want to upgrade from either of those bikes as soon as you realise how much fun MTB really is.
