  1. And another from last week.
  2. Something a bit artistic, from a few years back. Not sure if I posted this before so sorry if I have.
  3. Cathedral Peak as seen fro Didima Valley
  4. looking at this again, if your goal is 1200 a week, it will still be quite easy to achieve if you track with HR. 90+mins @ moderate HR would get you 300points, so that means just 4 rides a week to get there. Or just do 4x HIIT at 80% for 30mins and you sorted. So in short, for those that are lazy or unfit or have a high HR, you should be able to get your smoothie or coffee with just 4x30 min sessions, maybe even 2 for those on a lower target. And for the rest that actually do enjoy going out you shouldn't have a problem.
  5. averaging 800km a month, and using it on the IDT so it should go fairly quick... I hope
  6. Just get a multisport watch instead of the iwatch, and then you can link this the Strava. Something like the Garmin Vivoactive or similar would work fine.
  7. If you still feel fresh when you get into Pinetown then you should be good to finish it.
  8. i'm just waiting for my 1 set of 23mm Gators to wear out. After installing 25mm on my 2nd set of wheels, I hate riding on the 23mm.
  9. your legs won't be cold as the climb is about 15km into the race. The climb isn't as bad as it looks, the first 2km is a steady gradient but after that you have a few sections to recover before climbing into Pinetown. The descent is fun, expect to get up to 85-90km/h in a bunch.

  11. Guess I have been very lucky, zero issues with GC and Disco. Points have been at 1200 since the start and I don't fear this with the change, my weekly training of 4-5 activities wil get me there easily. If those concerned about the change, and if you only doing 1 activity a week then you should even be on vitality in the first place. I read a few of the comments on Facebook lastnight and it's shocking how rude people can be. You have a choice, stay active and get fit and a free smoothie or just be a couch potatoe and get fat and lazy
  12. Sunrise @ Umdloti this morning. The tide was high and took some chances to get something a bit more interesting. Canon 5Diii + 16-35mkii 2.8, f11, 1/8sec, iso1600 Lee Filters ProGlass ND0.6 + GND0.9
  13. No need to read 147 pages, just read the vitality website. Your target will be capped at 1200 points, not 3000. And disco are changing the point allocations, so best to catch up on some reading so you don't lose out. Won't be soo easy to get 3000points going forward
  14. Gym only gets you 100 points so doesn't make much of a difference. And the rewards are free, so activate it and maybe you will get a free smoothie every week.
  15. really cant see what all the fuss is about. If you were achieving your goals last year when the rewards was just introduced with the 150-200 point allocation, then why worry about it now ? Has the easy way of getting points made you lazy , so now all you do is 1 ride on a weekend and then go sip on a smoothie on Wednesday ? Rather just get out for your ride or run instead of stressing over the small things in life
  16. another oldie that I reprocessed while digging through archives for some material. This was from September 2014.
  17. Awesome bud, Woodlands Kingfisher has got to be one of the most stunning kingfishers around.
  18. ^^ it is a good spot and offers some nice opportunities, but I now find it a lil boring as its been shot to death. Umdloti has a bit more to offer IMO, but safety is becoming a concern as you move further down the coast, few togs have had their gear taken up North not soo long ago.
  19. Don't know if I posted this before, and sorry if I have. Taken a few months ago.
  20. good to see this still going. I don't have anything new to post, will hopefully get some new material in the next few days.
  21. I also have a problem keeping shoes in good condition. Got those Suplest S8 from CWC last year, and they already starting to look old... guess its also all the cr@p on our roads that cause it
  22. oh how I HATE the high ROE right now !!!!!! So I wanted this ever since I cracked my Mojito in October, but there was no stock in SA and just had to sit back and wait. Lucky I had a spare helmet to use. Kask Protone
  23. I'm kinda doing the same thing now, and with gym being less than 5 mins from work, I sometimes go in during the day to grab a peanut butter bomb when I have a sweet craving. So my visits are up to date, I'm getting free smoothies and some time away from the office... Win win win situation.
  24. if Clarens then its definitely something I would like to do...
