Measured each one from the centre of the BB to the seatclamp, the way you should check to make sure that your seatpost has enough tubing in the frame. RE the shoes will check the Spez out I have a narrow foot but do have a pair of Spez Pro Road shoes in a UK14 which are very comfy. thanks for the input

So I dont know what has been more of a mission finding a MTB or finding MTB shoes in my size. Looks like I have foung the new 2011 shimano 087 in a UK14 but what bike to take. 3 options Cannondale Trail SL2 JUMBO Scott Aspect 10 XXL or GT Avalanch 1.0 XXL Seems to me that the Scott is almost 3 centres bigger than the other 2. Any suggestions thanks

Never been keen on compact but it does make sence. If you want a closer gear setup at the back. your 50-11 is a bigger gear than you 53-12 but the 50T will look strange on my 180mm cranks the ideal setup would be 55-45-35 with a 11 speed cassette 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-20-21

Sure its a 31.6mm maybe you got a dud frame or the seatpost you got is not right. Get a venier and measure the inside of the frame.

Aluminium frame HT Lock out fork middle of the range components with Tubeless tyres, dont need disc but looks like that's the way to go. Just going to use for social riding nothing serious. J
