  3. MV Agusta owner has already come out to say that there is no way he's going to allow Fenati into his (and Forward Racing's) team next year.

Yeah, agreed SK. Ducati were always going to romp this race, but Lorenzo binning it two laps from the end came as a total surprise. However, I saw the crash coming. The moment the bike stepped out of line I knew he was going to bin it. I actually felt quite sorry for him in that moment. Rossi must also be thanking his lucky stars as he would have dropped to 4th in the championship had Lorenzo not put it in the gravel. You really have to wonder what is going on with Yamaha, and whether they have just given up on 2018 completely. 16 and 19 seconds behind the winner is just shocking. As for Romano, I think there is not much else to be said. He should have gotten a lifetime ban for that, as it is not the first time he has pulled **** like this. And in the wake of not getting this ban, I feel that his team should take the stance and moral high ground, and fire him. And the other teams should have a gentleman's agreement to not hire him again. No-one needs behaviour like that associated with them. It's pathetic. Great, looks like he's losing his MV Agusta ride for next year https://www.instagram.com/p/BniSKRQFnUx

  7. Shoot. No make-up days, so already missed the first one then
  8. Didn't realise there was a tour, but I also saw a lot of SA's on the course, awesome!

It is the actual motor, but they are running the Triumph Race ECU, and not the Magneti Marelli ECU that the factory teams have been testing with in Spain. Plus it's a 675 chassis, with no Ohlins or Brembo. The final bikes should be on rails!
  10. We blew through the season, wow what a ride. That was amazing!

Ah bugger now I miss mine
  12. My goodness, that is one very sad looking Sauber/Alfa Romeo.
  13. My choice for commuting tyres have always been Michelin, especially in the wet. On the triple however I've only really had soft rubber (Metzeler Racetec/Pirelli Supercorsa and my all time favourite, Dunlop D211) so milelage was pretty bad. But what I used to do when I took the bike out of track trim and into road trim, is bum some ex-race tyres off the guys, which still had plenty of life in the middle and just roll with that for a few months.
  14. Edit: I think Strava is a bit delayed as this happened in November 2016

Are you trying to catch something in Lake Silverstone?

Don't you just hate it when facts get in the way of a good story Kinda sounds like a quote from Silverstone this weekend, but no, it's from Misano 1989, by a certain Eddie Lawson, who along with other skillful and talented riders such as Freddie Spencer, Ron Haslam, Wayne Rainey, Kevin Schwantz, Randy Mamola and Mick Doohan, decided not to race that race due to unsafe track conditions.

I don't know hey. I read a very objective review somewhere about Silverstone vs. Donington, and I don't quite know what the solution is. The first half of Donington is magnificent, but the addition of the Melbourne loop just to meet Grand Prix distance feels so disconnected from the rest of the circuit. Silverstone on the other hand is wide and fast, and really gives these GP machines a chance to really stretch their legs. Silverstone is absolutely shite for anyone who's not actually on a motorcycle and racing, so from that point of view I also get it. My proposal? Go to Portimao in the summer, everyone wins!
  19. I really like the look of that! Well done!
  20. Many Pretoria East cyclists use that as their staple loop. You'll find many other cyclists on this road at times, but it can be quiet. I recall one incident with MTB's some time ago, but nothing as of late. Perhaps Spinnekop can provide more recent feedback, I haven't been out that way for a few weeks.
