I don't go to Cajees for advice or without knowing prices of components. Speaking of advice, a colleague mentioned he was looking at buying a bike to cycle and get fit, i told him i will help when i get time. This guy is a complete beginner, small, round and quite large. Being impatient he could not wait and went to a well known cycle shop in the north JHb, when i bumped into him he had a broad smile and told me he was advised and bought a top end DS 29'er as the salesman told him that this would be perfect for him based on his weight and size. This guy has no interest in doing races and has no intention of even going off road. Methinks salesman saw $$$ signs. This was 2 months ago and i think he has done about 50km total on it.

I wont go to Cajees without knowing what other bikes shops prices are, no bargaining i just ask them best price and if its better than elsewhere i accpept, if not i thank them and leave. Works sometimes, sometimes not.

I think it has it merits, its a way of telling offenders their driving habits are uncool, confronting them head on can lead to road rage. Its not intended for prosecution so there should be little or no fear that if its is abused anything will come of it.

I have not ridden with them but we ride past them on our sat ride, they meet at the cnr of Swartkoppies and Kliprivier 7am, no club involved and i think they split naturally into the different ride groups.

I'm sure the legit 2nd place person felt the same and echo's that.

Its a good idea, i always ride with medical aid details and emergency contact details when on the road/trails.
