  1. Sorry MichH, This Friday. Also if anybody missed the MTB National's at Fountains and/or wants to do it they can on Sat starting at 1pm. Course is 7km
  2. Mine dumps, but i believe they are also looking at starting CR Swart again.
  3. Night ride - distance approx 30km. Leave Woodstock Cycles at 7pm and bring some money if you are keen to join us at Roman's for something to eat and drink afterwards. If you are not going to ride, you are more than welcome to join us afterwards for a bit of a social at Roman's. Ride requirements :- Decent light, good technical riding skills and a good sense of humour PM for details
  4. Over the past few months i have recieved offers ranging from R1000 to R100 000 but the days of finance houses and banks lending haphazardly to consumers are soon to be over as from June the new National Credit Act comes into effect. Gone will be days your bank manager can just let your overdraft slide and put gobbledy gook in your loan agreements.
  5. The whole thing about renewing and not receiving anything (i.e. staying loyal) sucks, but most places like Mweb and Virgin Active and the Star do the same. For me its not so much the freebie, but the principle involved and once they have you hooked as a subsciber they know its more of a schlep to cancel and rejoin than to renew in order to get the freebie. Still i'm hopeful of winning one of the MTB's advertised
  6. I see there site admin does not waste time in updating the calender 2007-07-072007-07-29Tour de FranceFRAPro Tour
  7. Good going Barloworld
  8. Thanks Mampara i'll go squint at mine tonight, but looks like the bottom pic.
  9. I got an Ultegra pair from CWC, for R520 but these came without cleats wheras from a shop they usually include cleats in the box, so just add R120 (CWC price) for cleats and then compare. Dura Ace from CWC is R1450 (presumably for pedals only) so there is quite a price diifs there.
  10. I find the Shimano pedals are great just have a problem with the cleats, they need to make them stronger. But it could just be me that i keep snapping them.
  11. None taken Jason
  12. Congrats on her purchase, nice bike.
  13. Anyone recall why the Supercycling site participation dropped ???
  14. e- As per my previous suggestion, in addition to this, a prospective hubber should be invited and recommended. Strongly disagree, this is a public forum, not a selective one
  15. Dont hijack the thread now ewep.
  16. This all seems pretty juvenile to me. Granted tackle the issue and steer clear of personal attacks but if a post offends you, pm the the post initiator and ask them either to explain or remove it before running to admin. Then if you are still offended ask admin for action deletion/warning. When this forum 1st started (ambush marketing on other sites admin ) with Linnega, Widget, BigH, King Compass, there was always intelligent debate, and when the TDF was on the posts while in conflict were always carried out in good nature (Irish vs Swissvan springs to mind) As for aliases it i see nothing wrong them, some are are quite humerous and some Hubbers choose to remain anon.
  17. And burly Vladimir Kotov
  18. R3000 unfortuatley wont get you much for new, RSP (you get them to come down in price with negotiation) for an entry level road bike is Avelanche Stratus and Raleigh RC1000 starting at R3295, Newest 3.0 comes in at R3409 and Scwinn Circuit at R3599 all with Sora components.
  19. I go with that. I have not used mine in a long time and listen to how i feel i am riding better and enjoying it more. (got this tip from one of Widgets earlier post's)
  20. At no time did he say he took part in the race, only that he appears in the photo which was probably publishished world over (hence the celebrity comment) . Perhaps he is the one with the floppy hat (coming from Bloem) right of the podium.
  21. I see Fiona Coward who org the Panarama tour and the Sabie Shenanigans got 4th just missing 3rd place in the female cat. Excellent result for someone in their 40's.
  22. QUOTE=holy roller]didn't ride it, but guys i know who did said it was carnagelotta broken bikes
