  1. Sounds good, i would make use but perhaps have both options as i would only like an initial assesment. My type of riding i have difficulty trying to outsprint blue rinse grannies riding shopping basket bicycles.

    Licenses

I understand some hesitation and concerns about 1st having the CSA up there game and yes CGA have been aware that this was happening some time ago and they should have done something about it then. But if we wait the nothing will be resolved, get a lic and then you can have your say through your club about all cycling issues bugging you. Gauteng is far behind as Mparalanga have been running lic system for a while now and any race done there you need one.
  3. Thanks for the ride guy's and gal's, nice ride except for for the shoddy service at the Wimpy. Got to love those slime tubes of mine, got a flat on the ride pumped it up and its still rock hard.
  4. Makes sense now why he "retired" before he was kicked out, most likely saw it coming.

  10. Nice DR. This is my version and i'm sticking to it. DR was forced to upgrade after my humiliating passing him in last week's race
  11. In Boksburg, one of my mates used to stay in Heidelberg but now stays in Nigel so i ride quite often in Nigel/Heidelberg area.
  12. Ok well another time. Awesome MTB route's around Heidelberg. They also have a nite ride which i'm keen to do, just got to get some lights sorted first.
  13. How about Nigel on Sunday. Nothing like jumping right in.
  14. Marius Voltaren Acti-Go tablets and Nurofen Gel works well for me.
  15. Carl 2 flats that will teach him to laugh when i get one. Intending to only do a 2 road hr ride I also started my Sat ride quite late (8.30) on MTB (too much glass and K*K to risk skinny tyres). On the road to Bapsfontein i hooked up with some guy visiting from Ellisras visiting family and decided to join him for a bit of off road, BIG MISTAKE, turns out the guy is a seasoned MTB'er having done 2 Cape Epics and a 6th place in the Mazda MTB series a few years back, and was taking his frustration at not doing the Epic this year out with this ride. As i did not know where the hell i was i had to stick with him and 3 hrs later i limped home.
  16. Mate of mine picked up a new 2005 model Giant Yukon with disk brakes for R2800.

    DS MTB

Also have a look at the Merida range, some nice bikes in that price range.
  18. It could only have been MTN or Exell as those 2 were the only branded team cars i saw.
  19. Check that cog !!
  20. This is more like the old hub, lots of info here. After demolishing my lights at the 24 hour last, i need to get new ones.
  21. Just refrain from RH's universal middle finger sign, that one intends to upset motorists scotty2007-03-20 05:11:06
  22. And when motorists like Deon Maas makes comments about wiping out cyclists (including earning points for the deed) because he feels we are invading his space on the road, will you too shout Hoooopla??
  23. Some of you guys are missing the point. It DOES give a bad image. The rules are not there to be obeyed when its quite or when it suits us, they are there for a reason.
