  1. Probably don't want to involve themselves. Much like the recent Virgin Active one where the person filming did not intervene.
  2. Not all heroes wear capes. https://twitter.com/_chriswolfe/status/1155027965261955072
  3. Even Rassie considers we were fortunate. Still too many handling errors, penalties given and missed tackles. Basic mistakes. https://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/RugbyChampionship/rassie-admits-boks-were-lucky-to-escape-with-draw-20190728

  5. Flat and fast, one of the few MTB races I can wheelsuck.
  6. My old trainer which I've had for about 15 years started to play up so when Makro had a special on the Cycleops Mag last week knocking R500 off i decided to replace it and get their Uvex helmet/glass special at the same time. The resistance level has to be manually adjusted before cycling while my old one had remote, trade off is the Cycleops is far more quieter.

    Cricket......

Really ?, seems like sour grapes to me. One has to wonder if roles were reversed if they would whinge similar. Only team I like less than NZ is the Aussies. Technical knockout: Kiwis praise team but query 'cruel' rules "But the tournament had to have a winner, somehow. And in the end, what was perhaps the most dramatic ODI ever played, was decided by a curious, contentious fine-print rule." It was a theme echoed by Sam Flynn Scott from pop culture website The Spinofff's cricket podcast. "Did we lose the game? It seems like it was tied and then it was tied again, then there was just some stupid rule about who wins the World Cup," he said. "It should have been who took the most wickets (which would have given New Zealand victory) Vettori at least gets it Former New Zealand bowler Daniel Vettori said it "feels unfortunate" the final was decided on boundaries scored but the Black Caps had to accept the rules. https://www.sport24.co.za/Cricket/CricketWorldCup2019/technical-knockout-kiwis-praise-team-but-query-cruel-rules-20190715

    Cricket......

Could have, would have, should have, It is what it is. Rules and scenarios were known to the players and based on that England, who were my choice over NZ won. Imagine if NZ took the CWC and the rugby cup (who I believe they will) this year, we would never have heard the end of it.
  10. Major news when it happens in US, same old same old here. NEW YORK - A power outage that gripped New York's Manhattan ended on Saturday after it plunged Broadway theatres into darkness, brought subways to a halt and flicked off billboards in Times Square. https://ewn.co.za/2019/07/14/huge-power-outage-that-plunged-manhattan-into-darkness-ends

  13. It will make LA's cover up seem amateur. You would think if it was staged he would have all sorts of pipes attached, bandages seeped in fake blood, plasters etc.
  14. With been able to pull off a "fake crash" like that Froome need not be concerned with retirement, he can easily move on to be a stunt man.
  15. Sour grapes from the Aussies. https://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/SuperRugby/wallabies-great-wants-jaguares-booted-from-super-rugby-20190527
  16. After watching the finale, this sums it up.
  17. Not quite. There's plans to introduce pre GOT episodes dating back to around 5000 years before. One of five planned spin-off shows is a prequel under the working title Bloodmoon which has already begun filming and features Naomi Scott in the leading role. The show is set more than five thousand years before the events of the main series, and will follow the story of the Children Of The Forest, with none of the original cast returning. Bloodmoon has promised to reveal the "horrifying secrets of Westeros's history to the true origin of the White Walkers", and is being being run by writer and producer Jane Goldman, who is the wife of Jonathan Ross. https://ewn.co.za/2019/05/21/emilia-clarke-wants-time-between-game-of-thrones-and-planned-spin-offs
  18. Some major upsets this weekend, previous week I predicted all the games correctly, weekend past, none. Correct outcomes 0 / 6
  19. Just as she believes in revenge for things done to her and her family, the surviving members of those families that she destroyed will have the same on their mind. Vicious circle,
  20. Times they are a changing Ireland has once again defied the stereotypes when they opened what’s claimed to be Europe’s very first no-alcohol pub last Friday. The Virgin Mary bar opened its doors at 2pm sharp on Capel Street with pub operating hours and a pub vibe, but with absolutely no alcohol on the premises. Beers, wines, and cocktails will be on sale, but each of them will only be the 0% kind. https://citizen.co.za/lifestyle/food-and-drink/2130621/first-alcohol-free-pub-opens-in-dublin/
  21. Regards the N17 I was also WTF about riding on the right but then realized there were 2 other ramps, Rondebuilt and Wadeville which would have been an issue had we not. Another positive is there was no issue of shorter and longer riders "interfering" with each other.
  22. Tough day on the road for me, the route suited me so I cant even blame the wind. Struggled to hold onto any passing bunches so spent most of the time in solo mode and missed my target time by 10 min. Pity about the low attendance appearance, Being only the 2nd year there are still issues to be sorted such as the start area and here they can look at how Germsiton Wheelers do it. Positives were the number of metro officials and marshals, road closure on many of the roads and the start/finish area. I had no issue finding parking but some riders stated they did. Planning on returning next year to find that 10 min.
  23. Entered last year but did not ride as I picked up flu a few days prior, so far this year I've only done the pink blouse shorter distances in races so this will be my first longish one since 947 last year.
