  1. Good luck chaps!! Two of my favourite riders teeming up. Gonna be cheering big time!
  2. I am deciding between the edge 510 & 810 but I have no idea how the breadcrumb function on the 510 looks. Is it good and does anyone have a pic of how it looks? I can not find any reviews on the function anywhere. Seeing that races like j2c & d2c now only use this it is very important for me to have a good navigation tool. Anyone have some info or a review?
  3. I am dec
  4. I would have loved to, but not this year. My little dude was born in January so its a bit hectic to get away (cause my wife will surely join me on this trip). Lets see in 2015
  5. What a tour! This looks brilliant!
  6. Anyone know if the Discovery Cash back is now rolled out to all Cycle labs or is it only at Fourways? Is the % the same as for the proshop?
  7. I rode in DL and from the start the pace was very high. I really enjoyed the group and it seemed like the people were behaving themselves until about 50km where there was some guttering. People were all over the place and after a left turn I did not managed to latch onto the front guys. They rode of and we worked our butts off at the front of the 2nd bunch to pull them back, but without any luck. We never saw them again and only picked up the stragglers. I stayed with 2 dudes from AL, some BL but most CL & DL. After about 100km I sat up and limped home in 3:18. The organisation was fantastic! Will I do the race again? No I doubt it and it has nothing to do with the organisers. It is just too far to travel for a race from PTA. For most it won’t be a problem, but for me living in the East it’s about a 150km round trip.
  8. So is it safe to assume that D will be in the region of 3:10? I was in C last week at the Berg and bush and did a 3:10
  9. Calling this lekker thread back to life! Can anyone recommend a nice place to stay en fish close to Clarens?
  10. SHO! Can you just imagine the combo Sauser & Platt will make!
  11. Went into the shop a couple of times and eveytime the service was great.
  12. Great pic (the one without you ). She looks super impressed. Good job!
  13. That’s possible. It the Alu not the C
  14. Entered for my first one, but all this scary talk now has me shivering a bit! Sounds more like the last one standing wins……
  15. +1 on the Xterra. I have one and have no issues. I ordered the wrong size and Terry had no issues to exchange it for me
  16. There, I fixed it
  17. I am going to do the same. It’s time that the organiser knows that they are making it difficult for the people that are paying. It really is BS. There wasn’t even a collect point in PTA.
  18. I think Phil and Nino will be in Yellow at the start of stage 1. Both are great XCO and that suits them for day 1
  19. Report it yes, and the odds are very good that he will always cross that intersection about the same time as you had your accident. Seeing he works for eskom he probably has fixed hours and will always drive past there at certain times(give or take 30min). Maybe a good idea to hang around there at that time and see if you can spot the car/driver and take the number plate.
  20. Jip. CL for me
  21. I just wish cyclist could stick together and not one wear a number on race day. Maybe then the organisers will realise how inconvenient they are making it for their “customers” Why can I just get an email and print my own number? I just don’t get it why it should always be such a schlep. With the MTN MTB races you have one number board to use (I never pick up my race pack for them and only try to get one if there is enough time before the race). Same with running. Why cant all cycling events be like that? Get you race number from CSA when you register for your annual license, get a cloth number and you are set for the whole year
  22. +1 on Nalini from Naas (EVO bikes). Bought two of the cheapest and 1.5 years later they are still going strong. Great value
  23. Sorry, only saw the post from Kranswurm now. Thumbs up!
  24. I heard that there will be late entries on Saturday at Serengeti. Can anyone confirm this?
