Yes, after all, business is business. And we cannot blame farmer Glen of looking after his own pocket first if you look at what he is doing for the communities around S2C and the enthusiastic development of those brilliant trails (apparently, I would not know ). I just hope to get in next year. That will be attempt number 5. If I don’t, then I think that will be it for me. Time to save up and move to the RASA & Epic (totally different types of rides but still my big goals in MTB’ing).

Anyone know what the winning time was? I did a 3:50 cause that nasty climb between 52 & 55km broke me.

I think I went past you just after it broke. Was it you that emptied your water bottle (a white one) and then used it as a seat? Bad luck that!

Cant help to feel this was planned a bit. Getting Max in shape for the Epic is very different from his apparent focus on XCO in 2014. And getting Johan Rabie (a roadie) ready as a backup cyclist with Neil must have been planned in advance. Anyway, if Max & Kevin is not on the podium they will surely be in Red at the end?

I am deciding between the edge 510 & 810 but I have no idea how the breadcrumb function on the 510 looks. Is it good and does anyone have a pic of how it looks? I can not find any reviews on the function anywhere. Seeing that races like j2c & d2c now only use this it is very important for me to have a good navigation tool. Anyone have some info or a review?

Anyone know if the Discovery Cash back is now rolled out to all Cycle labs or is it only at Fourways? Is the % the same as for the proshop?

I rode in DL and from the start the pace was very high. I really enjoyed the group and it seemed like the people were behaving themselves until about 50km where there was some guttering. People were all over the place and after a left turn I did not managed to latch onto the front guys. They rode of and we worked our butts off at the front of the 2nd bunch to pull them back, but without any luck. We never saw them again and only picked up the stragglers. I stayed with 2 dudes from AL, some BL but most CL & DL. After about 100km I sat up and limped home in 3:18. The organisation was fantastic! Will I do the race again? No I doubt it and it has nothing to do with the organisers. It is just too far to travel for a race from PTA. For most it won’t be a problem, but for me living in the East it’s about a 150km round trip.

So is it safe to assume that D will be in the region of 3:10? I was in C last week at the Berg and bush and did a 3:10
