  1. I have two bikes both running on Ultegra R8000 mechanical (one rim brake and other disc) Shifting is excellentπŸ‘Œ
  2. Ultegra 6800 or R8000?
  3. wishful thinking what about exchange rate / import tax / supply demand shortages Coolheat?
  4. jip definitively not "lots"
  5. where ? not on Bikehub...
  6. What is the cheapest new disc brake bike one can buy currently here ? - carbon frame - hydraulic brakes
  7. My guess is R43999 ? πŸ‘€ for the few sets Coolheat will bring us? 3067.7g - maybe weighted with the shortest possible crank / smallest chainrings , smallest cassette , shortest chain and no hydraulic hoses , no battery holder. I predict the rim brake market will be filled by new players to the groupset market, and Tiagra will go 11 speed soon - (still in rim brake) at R1800 shipped this 11 speed rim partial groupset even makes more sense now Senah
  8. But will this bike have Hambini's approval? πŸ™ƒ
  9. here it goes laces from Takealot 😎
  10. struggled to upload picture - so deleted it for now as I don't want to post without a picture... ...my purchase glows in the dark... 😜
  11. Will try posting a pic of my Burner here. But it is so deep inside my wendy house - will be a mission to get it out! πŸ‘€
  12. That was the ultimate bike for me then!
  13. haha yes I know it should be a Kuwuhara actually I have a Kuwuhara as well (which I bought second hand on gumtree during our BMX fase) also stored in my wendy ...but the burner has more sentiment.😜 Thanks I will look on Amazone
  14. I have exact the same Burner but only in Red. After 10 years of marriage, I was eventually granted access to enter my father in law's hoarder garage ...πŸ€ͺ Discovered this Burner BMX that my wife use for commuting to school (80's) I restored it for myself, and use to go to the BMX park with my son when he was still in his BMX stage. The kids thought this ou oom was very cool My son outgrown his BMX era now. He saw from me how cool it was to ride a vintage BMX - so his new Mongoose is in storage for the next generation... I also thought of selling my Burner after our BMX rides ended, but the reality is, there is not really a market for this. These Burners were also entry level bikes back in the day. I currently look at the option to place it in my mancave -but still looking for a real live ET doll / blanket and basket to put on front.. For now my Burner is safely stored in my Wendy house - priceless
  15. Fork looks bended?
  16. I did a race (Amashova) and literally saw how one guy's front tire came off the rim at a high speed corner. I saw the tire was next to the rim (inside the fork). happened just in front of me and I was lucky to escape one m@erse crash. But as said that was at the front of the race and hard core racing. The above incident give me flashbacks of my first getto tubeless conversion on my 26er with wired tires.(yes I also don't just believe people, and like to try stuff myself first) front tire come off at a technical section.... eish my gat af geval πŸ‘€ Moral of the stories : just because it holds the air does not make it save...πŸ™ƒ
  17. Back in the day I had both 105 (5600 series) and Ultegra (6600) series. The left shifters were both capable of a x2 and 3x setup - only adjusted the cable tension. The next 10 speed generation : 700 series (internal cabling) ; (105 = 5700) / (Ultegra =6700) is not😎 But it was never cool to have 3 rings at the front...😜
  18. Maybe typing error R170 only has one zero πŸ™ƒ
  19. mmm. Sometimes this cheap way of commuting can also bite back... Last week I saw an oil leakage at the rear end of my motorcycle. Was the rear shock leaking. (non serviceable part according to agents...) new one R25K guess nothing last forever....(2010 F800 GS' 40 000 ish km; zero off road millage' owner since new...πŸ˜₯ There goes all my fuel savings for the past 11 years. 😜 ....currently send off to some kind of aftermarket suspension guru, and waiting feedback for if it can be "service/fix" ... Yesterday was my first bicycle commute to work again in a very long time...lol
  20. Road ; mtb or Gravel event?
