  1. I had to use that title because i am sick of creating topics that people dont look at or comment on, i am an attention seeker and not getting any responses annoys me. I ride rode a GT Zaskar Team (the old alu butted frame one) i love loved that bike, the components were old and weathered, and the frame was a smidgen too small, but hell i liked that bike. I recently purchased an old Giant Alias (2006) with much better components (for very acceptable price), let it be said that i dont like the Giant brand, i dont have a reason i just dont like it. So i was planning to transfer everything good onto my lovely GT, and burn the frame. Just before dismantling the hideous thing i decided to take it for a ride........it felt pretty good, so i took it for a longer road ride (20kms) it felt GOOOOD. last night i took it offroad, and it blew my &*()ing mind away, I LOVE Giant. The frame feels like it is designed for me, it feels supple and solid at the same time and almost effortless to ride. Do any of you know what i am talking about? Have you ever fallen in love with a bike that you previously hated? I think i will turn the GT into a singlespeed. Coz i still do love it.....just not as much.
  2. coenie your spelling sucks, is your keyboard the correct geometry?
  3. this is a chance for someone to start a business, buy an old panel beaters workshop, and start respraying bikes and "baking" them. in a proper environment. i wonder if there will be a way to get certified that the bikes wont lose their warrantee(Cycleart any input?), we all want custom unique colours, some of us just settle for less. Some moan about it like a spoiled child (i am on that side of the fence btw). If they can do it with cars and motorbikes why the h3ll not with bicycles? I am sure if the warrentee stays intact a CR@P load of more people will have their steeds resprayed.
  4. cool thanks, i guess if "i wanna dance i have to pay the band"
  5. but thanks for the input.
  6. considering my password is somewhere along the lines of Fu(k5@r% i dont particularly like that idea.
  7. Hi there Guys & Girls I have scanned a couple of threads but didnt find exactly what i was looking for. i want to upgrade my bike, if i get someone i know in the UK to post the goods to me are there ways to make it cheaper than if i just get the online shop to post it to me?
  8. eat a t-bone steak, nothing makes you feel like you are training hard than kotching.
  9. Nothingness, Pace wise i would guess that they would be doing a km in about the same time it takes to wash and dry 1 x large dinner plate 1 x side plate 1 x plastic container 1 x 500ml glass cup 1 X coffee mug.
  10. Caad4, i wish.
  11. hahaha, i did that without tools (i moved into a new house and was tool less) i ended up getting the mop stuck in the tube - finally got the mangled mop tube out and then because i am a *&^&ing fool i did the same with a broom stick, and i couldnt get that out. I am slowly accumulating tools now - awesome not to use a brick as a hammer and my multitool as a screwdriver for everything
  12. fat people are hard to kidnap!!!!!.......WWWWHHHHHAAAAAAAHHHHAAAAAA. oh, and that bike looks sick.

  14. That Piesang shape does it for me. i dont like Lefty shocks (not scientific reasons just that it looks weird) but the more i look at it the better looking it gets. It has kind of like a minimilistic thing going on. For 11k i would buy it. or save 9k more and get a cube.
  15. Grondpad, i also didnt know about it and was taking the p1ss, that is totally awesome. I will be there in spirit , as my physical body will be in my phlegm colored cubicle in Bellville - but i will cycle there.
  16. Here you go Grondpad...... critical mass n. 1. The smallest mass of a fissionable material that will sustain a nuclear chain reaction at a constant level. 2. The amount of matter needed to generate sufficient gravitational force to halt the current expansion of the universe. 3. An amount or level needed for a specific result or new action to occur
  17. son of a bitch!!!!!!!
  18. i dont think that is what he meant, and that orange bottle cage was lelik - i have an old Butted Alu Zaskar Team....it is upgrade time, all your bikes look sweet (except for that blerry bottle cage)
  19. I have started Jogging again now, and my knee feels really really good on the bike, i think i am on to something here, i am going to stack them together in a bottle and relabel - i will also claim that it sorts out erectile dysfunction to aid marketing.
  20. And whoever mentioned Tiesto - Adagio for strings, WELL DONE. that will push you up a hill like a tailwind.
  21. some good taste here, but what about music that REALLY amps you for Cycling. Prodigy - Omen Guano Apes - Made in Japan cover,Track5 (dont know the name but this totally ROCKS) Infected Mushroom - Suliman,Bust A move,XTC in my mind billy talent - Red Flag,This Suffering,Fallen Leaves Rammstein - Amerika (downhill song of note) David Guetta ft Akon - Sexy bitch Lady Gaga ft Akon - Just Dance Black eyed peas - Pump it DJ Costa - Electrofunk Disturbed - Voices,Stupify Deadmau5 ft Rob Swire - Ghosts n Stuff (seriously good ****) and 2 cheezy ones that amps the hell out of me is Dj Quicksilver - Bellissima Darude - Sandstorm these are super good cadence tunes.
  22. that is a pretty cool route, it must get hairy at times, and hellova windy.
  23. Terminator, how is your knee? i just want to say that my knees are feeling awesome (read normal) the only change is the suppliments that i mentioned, I tried ArthroGuard on its own years back and did not get the same relief, i believe that stacking it with the joint select stuff is giving me the ratio of whatever that i need.
  24. Sounds interesting, what job is that. i like the concept of night shift, but i am not sure i will be able to do it.
