Read posts above: there is much more to riding in SA than the Cape or a tiny bit of Pietermaritzburg. How much riding have you done abroad? Don't compare way you have not tried. Much of the Alps is snowed under in winter hence many of the European stars training here in SA. Overcrowded? You haven't been to Limpopo have you? Or Mpumalanga? And you can't rate what you don't know. There is more to SA riding than Tokai!

The rest is debatable but the Rock Shock Recon Gold kicks the Suntour equipped bike into a lower league.

I use these on my xc bike and so far they are very good!

It's just an idea. Doesn't detract from the bikes or their value. But it obviously is important to some and those will vote with their wallets.
