  1. Pity for the guys doing the Sani2C Race, They finish on the 21st. Us relaxed dudes doing the Adventure finish on the 20th so we'll still get our money's worth.
  2. HI-Jack On Was looking at building myself one of these http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae61/Simonhi/LynskeyPro29erLefty-6.jpg Hi-Jack Off
  3. Cruds! I just dread logging onto the hub to be greeted by such a thread. Happens far too often. Condolences to the family, friends and all those left behind. RIP little guy.
  4. +1 wiff ma wife. She also has her own account.
  5. Hawu wena! They cant close doors. Still need to buy my Lynskey twisted 29er Ti frame

  11. Is the Spruit wet? Mother-of-all-that-is-sweet-and-beautiful! The Spruit is drenched. Did it two weeks ago and with the rain we had the last couple of days it's bound to be worse. 50% of the mud was not mud... Mind you, if you are heading out wiff Team Fratelli's you should be ok. The section between Rivonia and William Nicol is (literally) very sh!tty. Nice 'dale btw.
  12. Both my grannies passed away some time ago. Still miss them though.
  13. Buggerall! For that you need to ban BP shop peppersteak pies!
  14. Where do I sign up?
  15. Congratulations & good luck dudes.
  16. All they actually do is print info you supply them with on a durable tag... In essence there is no reason you can do it cheaper on a home made solution - you already have all the required information...
  17. That is right... Aids in reducing friction and keeping the cable squeaky clean. Just be sure to "open" it up again with a sharp object after you've cut it prior to inserting the cable..
  18. IceID. All the way. It helped me in the past. Chief medic on the scene removed it from my wrist and liaised with all the other parties and handed it in at the hospital Went to a real hospital because of it and not one of the butchers in down town Jozie. http://roadsafety.co.za/2010/01/06/off-road-cyclist-critivally-injured/
  19. Jeez. What a sad story. R.I.P Andrew F and condolences to his family. Problems with first aid courses are that you tend to forget what you've learned... I've been on a couple through work and if you don't do refreshers quite often and practice/talk to fellow safety officers you'll never be able to perform under pressure... It is like trying to do the Argus when you've done one training ride 10 months before the race... Highly recommend the IceID. It has helped me get out of some tight spots. http://www.iceid.co.za/home.php
  20. Buggered if I know. Maybe that is my problem. Would go a long way to explaining the 436th place I seem to be getting all the time.
  21. I'm no expert, but is racing by gut feel not the same as spending money by gut feel. You need some sort of tool to plan and track reserves...
  22. I was actually looking at Paul's handlebars. Looked again and what I saw was the top of Niyonshuti's fork, sorta looked like it was part of Paul's handlebars.
  23. Looks like the controls to a seat tube mounted motor.
  24. Ooooh... Naughty-naughty!
