  1. One of two things. Either Ryder managed him into the ground. Or he stopped doing what every top 10 grand tour finisher is doing. Getting 9 hours of sleep a night.
  2. But Vegans are still 20% more at risk, no? I'll take a chance with my healthy omnivore diet.
  3. He is better than the average runner. It just puts this whole feat into perspective.
  4. For all the Kipchoge haters..???? So this 3:55 mile runner could go 1km at Kipchoge's pace. Would love to see what the armchair critics can do.
  5. That's the idea right? I mean that's the whole selling point and the reason why Nike got involved with the sub 2 attempts.
  6. It was 100% Maxed. I had some insight into the development of the first three Maxed Marathon shoes. Cheap maybe, but not cheaply made at all. Same factory, Same midsole, outsole than some Nikes. Just different waffle presses used to avoid any lawsuits and customer confusion.
  7. Wich was actually a franken shoe of previous generation Nikes.
  8. Nike weren't first with the carbon plate, but they were first to get it right. Its not as simple as sticking a piece of carbon in the shoes, as we know the foam they use might even contribute even more. The Hoka Carbon X is nice, but its not a sub 2:05 shoe. They know it and thats why its marketed more towards ultra runners. The great thing about this is that other brands, like Asics are forced to step up. But until then we will continue seeing their sponsored runners cry on Twitter and run in spraypainted Nikes.
  9. So Nike is accused of cheating in a non sanctioned out of competition marketing campaign, because they had special shoes? Can we get even more ridiculous? I wont be surprised if other brands are behind this hissy fit. They are all light years behind Nike when it comes to innovation, and I cant see them catching up soon. Its been discussed ad nauseam but why are Nike hated for pushing the envelope? All sport are benefiting from technological advancement. Should we go back to wooden rackets, steel frames etc etc Runners that are so concerned about the direction Nike is moving in should stick to their Cumulus 15s and accept the change.
  10. Pricing structure on guitars are very fishy. Sticker price was just insane, way over overseas prices. After some haggling I ended up paying just about the recommended $ price. But I bought straight from the importer.
  11. Decided to treat myself. This thing is a beast.
  12. Thats insane. Everyone that says it was all in the shoes must go buy the shoes, run 100m at his marathon pace and then sit down and think about how stupid they are.
  13. Thats it. Im never eating Beagle again.

You should at least be able to compete. Thats the point of competition. If your 100m PB is 1s slower than the slowest qualification time for the finals then you aren't competing. But hey, at least you got to go on a nice trip.

Its world champs, not high school colour meet. You compete to be the best in the world, there is no points for participation.

We cant blame ASA for mediocre athletes. Sure they can give better support, but you cant buy medals. Apart from Simbine we didn't have one medal hopeful. Its really sad seeing our athletes celebrating reaching semi finals as if they won gold.
  17. I did. It works, no joke. I used it daily in smoothies and before a hard run I had a glass off 100% beetroot juice. Its hard to describe but it made a massive difference. Only cons, my pee was blood red for weeks, and after about 3 weeks of my beetroot regime it started to give me the worst nausea imaginable. I couldn't stomach it since.
  18. Duh. If we don't save the fish we cant eat them.
  19. We'll apparently it should be illegal.
  20. Did you just compare eating meat to sexual assualt? ????
  21. Tell that to the people that will consume these 60 000 sheep. They dont care for emotional statements.
  22. What is the real world alternative?
  23. Slaughtering them locally will be so much more humane.
  24. Nowhere near the front of the peleton.
