  1. The new trendy # on my Instagram feed is "Reducetarian" and "Flexitarians" ????I don't get it. So you still eat meat, just less. Or you only include meat when you feel like it. So do you only feel half the guilt then?
  2. The Nike Vomero 11 (2016) is terrible. Too soft on the sides of the heel and not a very secure heel cup fit. The Vomero 12 is brilliant, still using mine with 600km and it's as good as new. Much better support than the 11. The Vomero 13 is a similar design too the 12, but they got the upper all wrong. Great shoe, but not as comfortable as the Vomero 12. I've never experienced Nike's to be too soft. I got told the same story by a local shoe shop. Hokas are soft, and mushy and slow. My current rotation is Vomero, Pegasus and Zoom Fly. The Vomero is not soft, it's cushioned and supportive.
  3. Weird fetish maybe?
  4. Im up at 4 every morning. Quick strong coffee and Im on the road. After a few weeks you actually feel great during the day, not tired at all. If I sleep in until 6 Im dead on my feet the whole day. That said, Im in bed at 9.
  5. The Pegasus 35 is not slow and heavy. That would be the Vomero. I run in the Zoom Fly, Peg 35 and Vomero. The Pegasus is probably the best all round shoe. The Vomero is more cushioned and great for slow long runs.
  6. When they are not volunteering? The reasoning behind this is that apparently parkrun cant get liability insurance for those that run outside of the parkrun time frame. A simple solution would be to make volunteers sign a disclaimer.
  7. The current event director refused to sign parkruns rules and regulations for 2019. He was removed, runners revolted and it turned into a circus. A lot of unnecessary politics.
  8. Im looking at getting a road fixie/single speed. Will use it to cycle around the block with my kid, and do the odd race. So flip flop hub is a must. Current options is a Specialized Langster or a Rook Race. Any other options? Preferably not all out track geometry.
  9. Why on earth would you do this to yourself?
  10. On the Parry program I need to do 90s hill intervals. I couldn't find a hill that long near my house. The struggle is real.
  11. This
  12. I hope she wasn't left stranded next to the road????
  13. Trail running definitely gives you an overall body workout. I'll do one or two technical trail runs every month, just to get off the road, and Im always sore in places I didn't expect to be sore after a run.
  14. That is the "Rather well rested and overweight than over trained" program.
  15. If you can make one dietary change this should be it. I cut out sugars 5 years ago, best decision ever.
  16. Who else is following any of the Parry Comrades programmes. Ive been using the Bill Rowan program as a guideline since last year. But for the last 2 weeks Ive followed it step for step. I know its time based, but working out the mileage it will have me peaking at a 88/90km week. Is this enough? I remember guys on the finisher program going into 100km weeks last year.
  17. The thread is 75 pages long. If I have a question again I will ask you for the page nr. Thanks
  18. I'll be more diplomatic in my questions next time.
  19. Thanks for the effort. But Im genuinely curious. Do you miss the texture/look of meat/protein?
  20. Why would a vegan want to eat a faux egg with a runny yolk? Isnt eating something resembling the nourishment of a growing embryo just a little weird? And a vegetable patty that looks like minced meat.. Why?
