  1. Search on DC Rainmaker. He did an updated review on the 1st of Feb.
  2. The Suunto 9 also use the new Sony GPS chip. Battery life is insane, but accuracy can be better. DC Rainmaker did a few interesting reviews on this.
  3. I'm definitely not curious as to become a vegan. But it's interesting to read why people follow certain lifestyles. I didn't see the sign on the door that said no non vegans allowed.
  4. From unbiased reviews and other users. The new Sony GPS chip is not as accurate as other brands, but has better battery life. The heart rate is still very buggy, but might improve with future firmware upgrades. The straps on the black Vantage M is prone to splitting. The paint on the black bezel is not very durable. In essence it is still an unfinished product. They have a boat load of firmware updates planned, but until then you will have a lot of missing or bug infested features.
  5. Do some proper research before getting the Vantage M. They do look pretty on pictures though.
  6. Yes, no support from Tom Tom. But even when they were still in SA it was a mission to get any support. I struggled 6 months to get a replacement band. I mailed both Polar and Garmin last week with some queries and got feedback almost immediately.
  7. Become a vegan, get free Jayz tickets for life! I'm going full carnivore just to be safe.
  8. What is a viable alternative?
  9. Quick price drop before it goes in the stuff drawer. Where it will probably never see the light of day again. https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=hubmarket&module=core&do=view_item&item_id=345668&new=1
  10. DCRainmaker tested the new polar range pretty much on par to chest heart rate. Technology is catching up quickly.
  11. Not only from diet but from the way meat are better processed. We dont need to tear chunks of meat from bones anymore.
  12. I've done some extensive reading on wrist HR the last week. Like Dave said for cycling you need to get it a little tighter and away from the wrist. How is the accuracy when running?
  13. That's a healthy relationship. If she stops complaining she most probably found her own bicycle..
  14. Ai. My manliness would last 5 mins in the marines.
  15. Lamb curry
  16. Finally
  17. .
  18. Is there anyone on the hub not going trough a divorce ????
  19. Posting this here before it goes to classifieds, incase anyone is interested. Suunto Ambit3 Run. Very good condition. Comes with HR strap. Has all running features and some. Including route navigation. R2000. DM me for more details.
  20. Good luck Cois! Its not good reading about your experience with Cansa. I think it all depends on the local branch. We worked with them when my grandfather got cancer. That lady was an absolute godsend. She didn't skip visits for one day. Helped with oxygen, meds, hospital visits etc.
  21. I use a Salomon soft flask. It folds easy, so I put it in a pocket/running belt, and when I need it I mix a water sachet with what ever use. No issues doing while running. The racing vest is nice for training, but in a road race it's just not comfortable.
  22. Thanks, seems to be a common issue. Narrowed it down to Garmin 235/735 and The Polar Vantage M.
  23. Read all the reviews. Some real world input is always nice.
  24. Anyone using the Garmin Vivoactive 3? From reviews it seems to be a little better than the 735, plus the benefits of some extra features. It also looks much better, for what it's worth.
