I had an FTP of 3.6W/Kg in October and these are my stats from @ (Pretty sure we did a similar time to 1B) Edinburgh Dr = 4:15 at 124% Smits = 9:17 at 107% Smits Steep = 2:13 at 134% Little Chappies = 3:01 at 122% This is where I got dropped so will leave out the rest 😂😅

That looks like a standard Garmin insert so you don't need to look for a K-Edge branded one. You can try your local bike shop and if they don't have it give these guys a call. https://www.macete.co.za/ I've dealt with them before and they're excellent at finding what you need and at a great price too.

I was also in this group. Although it was nice not having to fight for position and stress about people riding badly I felt that the group was too small. How can we compete with the likes of 1A when it's 61 people vs 239 people? Just make the groups more equal in size. Otherwise, such an epic day out on the bike. I felt really grateful to be riding it this year and more so than ever I had an appreciation for the marshals and volunteers that go out of their way to let us ride this incredible event.

I collected for a friend and just showed them a picture of his vaccine certificate on my phone which was acceptable. Don't think they even looked at it properly

You'll get re-seeded but the original entrant has to be vaxed or have the covid test.

Kudos to the organisers for doing the survey. They care about this event and want to make it better. Just wonder how many parking comments they're getting now ????

Wait till they tell you that the field was too small and there wasn't enough climbing so they wont use it for CTCT seeding after all. ???? This is what they did with the Langebaan race even though it was a "Premier Seeding Event"

Even though that weather was terrible it felt sooooo good to race again. The B group kept it safe and sensible so thanks to anybody that was riding in there. The worst thing about the parking area was the thought of getting my shoes muddy but I navigated well enough to avoid that. I drive a bakkie so the natural choice was to wheelspin out of there and wonder if any cars would make it out after me.

I also wasn't hugely keen for Option C but I would take that over nothing. I don't actually see any reason why this option isn't going ahead. No start/finish infrastructure necessary, no groups, just mark the course and let people ride it at will. They could even use Strava to handle the timing if they don't want to put out timing mats.

Sorry but I'm not impressed with the organisers on this one. How do we go from statements such as: To cancel the event and don't even carry the entry over to the following year. I wont be supporting this race in the future and instead will support the many other events that actually care about the participants.

I would highly recommend Ciovita. I'm on my 3rd custom design with them and haven't once been disappointed. As ChrisF said, if you can get the quantity up then your price per unit drops. If possible, the people in your group should consider buying 2 x kits. Get the better pricing and also you have some kit to wear while the other kit is in the wash.

I also use the Giant Recon on my Garmin + GoPro mount and it rocks. Solid build quality, well priced and good battery life.

Just wait till they realise they can save another 40 seconds of aero drag by removing the one shifter and break on the 1X models. I mean who needs breaks on a race machine anyway?

I had the same "Login" problem on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons this week. Wednesday I gave up on the session as I figured it was my internet. Both days it was at about 3pm. Yesterday I spent more time fixing it. I had to connect to my phones hotspot to get Zwift logged in. After that I hopped back onto my fibre and everything ran fine. If it's not fixed this afternoon I might break something!

Got my order in and super stoked. Now for the loooong wait until delivery. Would be nice if sporting goods were considered essential as it somewhat is for my mental well being. Anyway, I'll just dream about the new goodies until they appear on my doorstep one day.
