Not yet will have a look. Tx
Good day,
Anybody had experience in shipping a MTB from south Africa to Melbourne, Australia?
Airline quoted USD250.00.
Any better options out there?
Thanks

What was the verdict?Hoping the momsen warranty team are out there watching this thread.. My bike has been at an approved Momsen dealership in Cape Town since last thursday.. all i need is the momsen rep to go and take a look, agree the frame is cracked and give me a nice new 2018 Momsen Vipa frame..

So as not to name drop, and to afford other readers the opportunity to add their chosen store names (as they did)Hi Daniemare
Just out of interest why is Cycle Lab the only shop that gets named?

Just a joke...

Agreed. Having an identifier for those who contribute towards security costs is worthwhile. Acknowledge contribution.I would happily pay an annual or monthly membership towards security - maybe with some number board or something to identify - but please please please don't ask me to pay for each time I use it.. I like to dip in and out at all times of the day.. just visiting the access point and stamping my card or paying my money would ruin it for me.
I think you would get reasonable support with a number of big signboards that says 'please buy your number to use these trails' posted up and down the spruit.

Paying per ride will not be easy to control. Too many access points.
Security should be available in public places, we pay for it before we get our salaries...

Agreed. Had mine about a year now. All goodUsed the Thelma 3 for a few months now and am super impressed! without a doubt one of the best racks out there and far better than the majority of Thule racks. + its cheaper!

Your choice to repair, replace or refund. Only your choiceI doubt it.
I have heard from TWT. Although they will replace the frame I still have to pay for the rebuild.
After my experience with another brand on this I really can't be bothered to do this. The bike is 3 weeks old so I don't see why I have to be out of pocket on this. I feel Momsen/TWT should be paying the bike shop to sort this out, not me having to pay the bike shop. Especially as the bike is pretty new. But ja....
Its going to cost me R500 odd in money as well as having to get time off work to take the bike 60km away from me to get it sorted out (assuming the bike shop would also be able to help me out and get it done quickly while I wait otherwise its even more money!)
On a R7500 bike its just not worth the extra pennies in my opinion, still wanting to buy some new kit for myself so would rather thrown the money into a new backpack or something.

Any updates on Karmi?

Nicely putMassive kudos for channeling back to David too. It's so easy to get caught up in your own initiative that we often forget about everybody else.
Personally you must be acknowledged for what you are doing, even if you don't want it.
So Nicole, well done, and thank you for being a human who gives more than what they take, we need more of people like you!

Good to see the commercial support. Info re the auctions? Where to find them?We are blessed with the support of Bogus Designs, Hasie & the Robots, as well as Anatomic, (3 auctions currently running).
Yes, Karmi's parents are going to be hit with the mother of all hospital accounts, but they are not the only ones. May I ask, please, those of you who are willing to donate that R100, split it so half goes to Karmi and the other half to F.R.A.I.L-K? https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/168435-funding-not-been-able-2-work-4-126-days/

This is hectic.
I'm not asking anyone to put themselves into debt, but I'm sure each hubber could afford to drop R100 into this account to help this family.
They must be going through hell, yet staying positive.
So instead of those extra beers or coffee after your next ride, sip some water, and donate that R100.
Any bike shops or retailers out there who maybe want to auction a bike or offer some items to be auctioned?
Hang in there Karmi

Any TB support drivers who were part of the past weekend's race, out there?
I will be a support driver this weekend for The Repeat.
Are the checkpoints easily accessible and easy to find?
Any tips or advice?

Thanks for the info. It's a one way ticket. Container arrives after 8 weeks, but would like to ride prior to that. Agreed re sending bike on same plane.
As for cleaning, will clews N it thoroughly beforehand, possibly service too.
