  1. At Sabie this year I took two bottles - 750ml each. Used both. I did not stop at any water points to refuel. I ate an energy bar about 50km in. Finshed in 4hr's. I know, this does not help you as I consumed less and did not bonk. Maybe what you should get from this is that is is not your eating plan that is not working but rather your training plan.
  2. Not off road but still a GT Zaskar with full knobbies.
  3. So if you ever want to win a race, just get to the KOMs pot first and then moan and bitch that the marshall set you on the wrong track. Nice.
  4. Yes. I have trained for an Argus by ONLY doing spinning classes.
  5. Bowling for soup - girl all the bad guys want.
  6. Ek wil sien hoe like 'n 13/14" MTB!
  7. Yikes! My wife has a 16" bike and I thought that was small...
  8. Agreed, but would you argue with a marshall?
  9. I agree. I feel sory for Knox and co. but I won't get special treatment if I took a wrong turn etc. The organisers should take full blame. Knox and co should all get DNF's. Sorry, but that is the right thing to do! C'mon organisers have some honour in you and do the right thing!!!
  10. Go here: This works better than what Shimano offers: http://www.rushsports.co.za/Store/ByCategory/BB-Kits.aspx
  11. Define "good" first? I had a crossmark upfront. It lasted 2 years. Bomb proof. Was it a "good" tyre? Nope. It sucked in the wet and was moer heavy. Now I have a GEAX MEZZCAL in the front. It grips like red wine on a white shirt in the corners. Is it a "good" tyre. Nope. It has punctured 5 times in one year and not cheap. If it is good at one thing, it will be bad at something else.
  12. Some people will forever be stuck in first gear I think.
  13. Believe it or not, but thatis what she got!
  14. The Carmen Electra of this thread is becoming like the 29'er of this site.
  15. You mean which one is the better value for money? On paper it looks like the Trek. But you wont be riding on paper. From what I noted, people have warned other people to stay away from Trek as their aftersales service is...well, k@k. I have always said that you should pick a bike that you would want to upgrade ie. the one with a frame worthy of upgrading.
  16. Sal maar moet diet dan.
  17. Doh! Fank u's mr. speller Nhazie!
  18. YOU ARE ALL WRONG! The size of cone spanner depends on weather it is a front or a rear wheel...Front wheels need a 13/15 and rear a 15/17 if it is of the cone and cup stuff. If it is an american classic wheel (sealed bearing stuff) you will need 2x19. Good luck in finding one. etc.
  19. That the guy who ate Michael Jackson?
  20. You know I'm fat, I'm fat, you know it...Nah, that doesn't sound right...
  21. My Bell weighs 275g. Does it make me look fat?
  22. Why is helmet weight important?
  23. +1 Not my favourite but he's right. A good tyre to start off with.
  24. And to think those two pistons won't take the TdF.
  25. During training in winter I use water only. Don't drink anything in the first hour. In fact, I don't use any energy drinks during training - dunno why really. Water works for me. I will refuel afterwards. During a race Epic pro etc. Energade is crap. Next time you buy an energy sup, check the back for the carbs per 100g. A good energy drink wil have 70g/100g. Energade I think has less than 10g/100g.
