  2. Can you share the details of where this “deal” popped up☺️?
  3. Off the body, onto the outside chair to dry, into the wash basket....!
  4. Along Clarence Drive to Bettys Bay, on an amazing day in Cape Town...????
  5. Hi Guys, does anyone have any experience in connection with the Gaggia GD Compact 1 Group Espresso Machine?
  6. Breaking through and keeping below the 82kg mark remains a challenge. Feb & March not friendly work wise resulting in a lot of binge eating - slabs of chocolates and ice-cream - chasing down deadlines in the small hours of the morning . Lets see how April goes, by avoiding those pesky white candy coated chocolate Easter eggs mentioned above!
  7. A couple of December’s ago, we hired some bikes for our visiting family, the hired bike for my Nephew was a POS, as the valve stem hole would chaffe through the tube, first deflated in Melkos, replaced tube, second on the way back, could not repair because of it position and no more tubes. Started the walk home, nephew on my wife’s bike riding back and forth, brother in law riding home to fetch the car, wife and I walking with the POS hired bike. Really cool youngster and his mom, saw us, made a u-turn, loaded the bikes in the bakkie along with us and took us back home to Dolphin Beach - He was a cyclist himself. Really cool being helped at times like that.
  8. First attempt successfully completed, leaving 36km for the last day allowed for a nice ride to Oudekraal ending the challenge on 546km, and two rest days amounting to more mileage covered in 8 days than I do in a good month - Tells me I need to have a goal, otherwise it is to easy to do skip a ride.
  9. Lost my way over the last three weeks, so ended on 82.7. Will sign up for 2021 in an attempt to drop 2.7 and end on a stable 80kg's.
  10. Evil looks awesome.....Congrats! I too had a super experience dealing with Trail Tech Cycles.
  11. When "entering" that cycle path, coming from Big Bay side, I do so at the very last intersection the cycle path has with those residential entrances, leaving only the one at Atlantic Beach to navigate. Upon my return I generally keep on the cycle path, but feel a little less vulnerable/susceptible to those drivers as you have a little more time to see and react. In general, the the drivers seem to see straight through/past/over/under the cyclist, only looking for other vehicles at those intersections, which is sad, because that path can get very busy on good weather days!
  12. To Chapman’s Peak, with plenty other cyclist, runners, joggers and walkers...????
  13. Oscillating around the +/- 82kg mark for the past couple of weeks.....the last is always the hardest to shake! Would like to see a stable 81 by end of year.
  14. Yowzers...I see you’re in Western Cape which mountain did you meet this guy on? I’ll be sure to give it a miss for now..
  15. As per Stall_Gear, or with the battery removed, place a conductor to short the positive and negative terminals in the sensor, and discharge the internal capacitors.
  16. Man, this is not good to read. I, as do many, cycle that road many times on my own...☹️. Pleased to read you got out unscathed.
  17. May as well add this to this thread too.....my Evil Offering! I really need to take it out at give it a good ride, it has not seen much use since getting it mid Feb
  18. Wow....that is next level! Maintaining that 38km/h for 24hrs ????. I am stoked when I accomplish that pace for one hour, no elevation and some help with a tail wind????. Congratulations!
  19. Many many moons ago I got caught in the mist. Trails and waypoints which, when visible, are so familiar, but when they cannot be seen because of the mist, it most certainly becomes scary and cold.....it also becomes difficult to not panic and just stay put! Condolences to all family and friends....RIP Ken.
  20. https://coremerino.com/ Maybe give these folk a try?
  21. Pretty much what I did. Bike went to LBS who confirmed condition, biked stayed at LBS whilst payment cleared, they then packed and shipped from Gauteng to Cape Town. Bike arrived all in good order....happy days.
  22. Great effort that....you definitely wizzed past me on one of your loops. It was cold this morning, my Garmin registered a low of 3.9 deg, and that was approaching Eden on the Bay just before the Sandown and Dunes Estates.....my hands and feet take a little strain...
  23. Thanks Jako! Haven’t ridden her much as yet - 69km to be exact. Received it at a time when I was doing a little more road riding leading up to CTCT, then Covid-19 hit.
