Can you fit a 32t sprocket on a 105 rear derailleur? This is a 9-spd setup but I do not know if it is long/short or medium cage. If this is not possible, would there be any reason that a 9-spd Acera rear derailleur wouldn't work with 9-spd 105 STI's?

Would it count if you go to harties, use the lift up and then just bomb down the DH track.. Rinse and repeat. Plus you get to say you did it on a DH bike.

That has the same type of suspension design as a Spez. If you can get over the weight this is great bang for buck! Where is the sarcasm font?

I get where you're coming from, but your argument goes against most weight weenies. Otherwise there wouldn't be a market for titanium wheel nipples. or lightweight bottle cages? The weight saving on those will be less 100g.
