  1. I remember that - always found it fundamentally disgusting. But hey, that's me.
  2. If I am not mistaken some if not all of SAA SP's went to Trek/Luxavia and Namib Air, both schemes to bypass SAA having to fly around the bulge of Africa back in the day,
  3. Boeing needs a $60 Billion bail out to survive!
  4. They covered their backsides in the T&C .... there is no compassion in the corporate world.
  5. Is the way this virus spreads that is causing gatherings to be cancelled and movement of people restricted #asymptomatic
  6. Extreme measures do need to be taken to stem the spread of the virus, sporting events are the first to go, common sense. That the thing about this: the asymptomatic spreading of it, that has wrecked havoc. Bummer for all that have invested in this, where do they in terms of a cancellation of the event? Must have been on the T&C. Organisers should not suffer too much since they were paid in advance although money from sponsors might alter the equation but I am sure all bases have been covered in legal agreements.
  7. There are VPN plugins for other browsers, like on Firefox I have used the free "Urbnan Free VPN" recently with good success. There is not one magic tool that does it all, you need a few at your disposal..
  8. Getflix is easy. Three things you need to do. Register with them, I think the first 30 days is free. Change your DNS server address to one of theirs. You can either do this on the PC or the router, Best to set it on the router if you can, but you need to login first to the settings etc . google the key words and you will find answers easily. Then you need to load their web page, login, and update your public IP address. It will also check your DNS server settings and tell you the status. There are ways to automate this with a dynamic DNS service. You can also change zones to enable various 'services'.
  9. You can the DNS server address to one of theirs on DNS server settings on each PC / media box / whatever or on the router, If you change it on the router then you don't have to change it on the devices upstream, because they should get the DNS server address from the DHCP server on the router.
  10. I built a guitar in my lost youth, couldn't play it though.
  11. I think they go around periodically and do start ups etc which must be expensive.
  12. No more, sad to say.
  13. Yes Eurosport seems to have it nailed with where the debit/credit card is registered, and I have yet to find a way to pay. Skrill etc don't provide virtual cards to residents here and elsewhere. Its a bit ridiculous when one is trying to get / pay for a legit streaming service and its all the same story. I will not go with SS, I am not interested in all the other sport they broadcast. GCN racing has been great this cross season on YouTube, maybe there is some hope there, but with the major events rights are tightly controlled. I went to a lot of effort to get registered with Skrill thinking that it was be possible to get a UK based virtual card via them but it turns out that its only availble to certain countries (EU etc)
  14. Splitting a db involves a lot of work: identifying circuits, locating the neutrals, extending the wiring, often adding an external box, new circuit breakers, working to the SANS codes, and often fixing cr@p work done previosuly; R7.5k is not bad at all. I charge more.
  15. According to the Blanco they came in hot, the wind had shifted and was gusty, they were just about to switch landing direction. Should have / could have Gone Around?
  16. Give Toolshop a call 011 792 4185 they have a great selection of tools there. Also Toolcraft in CT, I have got quite a lot of kit from them, though their stock seems a bit low for drill presses https://www.toolcraft.co.za/collections/drill-presses That Bosch PBD40 looks/feels a bit dinky though
  17. Def. solid rockets
  18. Most of the Brit athletes are well peeved at the whole Brexit thing so lets not go there ...
  19. Let's not cast unsound and unfounded aspersions please. She has been around for quite a few years, climbing the ranks from Junior level, as recounted by Helen CX on RBTV this weekend. This year has been exceptional every where, every time, She has always looked so strong on the bike, tactically astute and mature beyond her years. And she has handled her defeats a lot better than others around her. Have you seen where she does her indoor training? the living room of their very modest accommodations in Rotterdam.
  20. Nope, this one, the other Elite title winner.
  21. According to Helen CX he has something like 9+ bikes to go at races. He was changing every 1/2 lap most of the time. Why? Because he could. Tom went deep with 2 1/2 laps w/o a bike change towards the end when he was trying to keep Toon out of touch
  22. Finally a lad from ole Blighty on the XCO scene - only good things can come of this. Going to be interesting to see how he shapes up in the Cape Epic.
  23. Will he be riding into the Roubaix velodrome on the 11th April with a silly grin on his face?
  24. But Tom rode in the chasing pack the first 5 laps was it? Brilliant attack but no way was he going to catch MvdP and he had to work hard to keep Toon at bay. Uitstekende ride in my opinion, No one has dropped the Belgians like that besides Mat, who normally rides in the pack the first few laps and then goes, and when he does.. its a sight to be seen, but this time it was from the get-go. Fact is the best people (on the day) got the results. Not sure what happened to Isi, he and Tom normally 'ave it large.
