  1. Where is that please? KZN South Coast for sure.
  2. Yes. And by other motorcycle brand standards Ducati has always been more of a heart over head decision. A few years ago a mate of mine priced an Ohlins WSBK spec fork for his superbike. Now bear in mind this is the same fork that WSBK privateers ran in their bikes at the time. It was the same price and a bog standard Fox 40 DH fork at the time.
  3. So retail on that Epic is the same as a Ducati Hypermotard. Yes yes. I'm comparing the base Hypermotard to the top end Epic but COME ON!!!!!
  4. By any objective measure Nicolas Vouilloz deserves to be on this list ahead of Peaty, Gee and Sam Hill. And arguably ahead of Greg. Greg has more World cups but Nico has 10 rainbow jerseys.
  5. I had to google CR7.
  6. Question. Who is the ORIGINAL ACTUAL GOAT? Who is the first person referred to by the sports media as THE GOAT? Irrespective of the sport they practice. It feels like a phrase the American sports media would coin so I'm guessing it's someone like Michael Jordan. The first person I've heard referred to as the GOAT is Ricky Carmichael.
  7. I second this. He's given more wow moments to the sport than anyone else. Plus he stood behind me in the lift line at Chatel (No que jumping) and he was super friendly.
  8. I used to do stocktaking as a student job for Shoprite way back. Once the aircons are switched off and the nice smelling people leave those places KLUNK! And siff does not even begin to describe the dairy fridges. I still struggle with yoghurt and it took me a long time to eat bacon again after a particularly bad olfactory assault.
  9. Always. I told the manager at the PNP that despite my best efforts none of his staff seem to want my money. He looked at me like I was mad. COMPLETE disconnect between what he does and what he's ACTUALLY there to do. Liberate as many people of their cash as quickly as possible.
  10. I live in Hout Bay. There are 4 supermarkets here. All of the major 4 are represented. The PNP staff are SO DISGUSTINGLY RUDE that I simply will not go into the store. If I have to go to a PNP I'll go over the hill to Constantia. I don't expect to be treated like royalty but they literally behave as if you are ruining their day by having the temerity to come into the store. I haven't been in there for probably 5 years now.
  11. I once did work for a well known feed manufacturer and the FD of the company said something to me. His exact words were "free range is a marketing term" If the chicken really was free range you'd be paying R500 for it.
  12. Ok but now be honest. If you could afford an S Works Tarmac/Enduro/Epic whatever You'd get it in a heartbeat. I know I would.
  13. Haha. They don't like it when you overtake them going down the hill on a bicycle. Truthfully tho the whole area is so stunningly beautiful that just putting along on a Harley taking in the sights and stopping at all the cafe's might be the 2nd best way of getting around the area. The best way is obviously riding the ski lifts and your bike.
  14. I just thought I'd drop this here. There's a bi annual Harley festival in Morzine. It finished up about 2 weeks ago. It's been on twice when I've been there. Even tho I'm not a fan of French tw@ts trying to act like american tw@ts It adds a great vibe to the town. There's generally a couple of concerts over the festival. This year I beleive the main act was Status Quo. Oh and there's the small matter of the biggest link trail network on the planet as well........ https://en.morzine-avoriaz.com/morzine-avoriaz-harley-days-2022-dates-announced.html
  15. Ja. The little tester I did confirmed that I will be on Zwift for a while still. I'm no fan of the pricing model but it's clear that putting a quality product like this together is no picnic. Multiple OS's. Multiple devices, Integration into multiple training platforms.
  16. So @Frosty and @fanievb what are your thoughts? Worth ditching Zwift (or whatever). It's a bit of a grudge purchase for me right now but the 2 free alternatives are not good enough for me to ditch it.
  17. So Mywoosh doesn't like my pc. I've installed it on my android phone and it seems to work. I can't connect to a tv with my phone using hdmi and the TV I use to play my workouts on is as old as the hills so no chromecast. I'll do workout this week on my phone but that really sucks. My eyes are bad enough as it is.
  18. There are self storage facilities in Geneva and Zurich (don't know where you are flying out of) Zurich has luggage storage at the airport but the pricing is... Um.... Challenging. Like the previous poster said. First prize is probably to get a fellow saffer to lug the bike back for you. You'll have to avail yourself of the luggage rates of the airline. I did this for a friend in 2019 and he paid 90Euro. We flew Turkish and that is the standard bike charge. so 2 bikes = 180 Euro. Which is actually ok. With some airlines the wording is somewhat vague and you don't actually know what you are in for when you arrive at the airport.
  19. Honestly. Chappies is *** on a superbike. the corners are too tight and they tighten up on themselves. I live in Hout Bay and I can honestly say I wish those road blocks could be there 24/7. It's truly terrifying going for a run on Chappies on a Sunday afternoon and seeing how many people are absolutely out of their tree about to get behind the wheel of a car. The bikes are loud but they are gone by mid morning. And the guys on them are at least sober.
  20. Ja I got a dll error when I tried to install. I'll try figure it out today but I'm not going to try too hard
  21. Is it working on PC now? The last time I looked it was apple devices only. *edit. Windows now supported! Let the testing commence.
  22. Ooooh. Hey fellow environmental protestors. I have an idea. Let's all get together and have a protest at a race of the ONE human activity that isn't absolutely FUNKING the planet. Idiots.
  23. ONE MILLION PERCENT. My niece once came out of a restaurant in JHB to find the "car guard" holding a torch for the oke breaking into her car.
  24. ZARS. 3k a day will give you a nice euro biking trip. A season pass for the Portes du Soleil (Morzine, Les Gets, Chatel, Morgins, Champery, Crosets) costs R5700 give or take. That's for 3 months access to 20 odd ski lifts which makes it the bargain of the century. For the Alpe Du Huez area it's cheaper. I've not been there so I don't know the scope of the area. Day passes to these ski areas cost a lot but that's the same for summer and winter. My last trip cost 23k all in. That was for 8 full days and 2 half days on arrival and departure day (Flights arrived early and left late). This was shared accommodation. My mate's girlfriend sourced rockstar cheap accommodation in the middle of town. The only caveat was no booze. Bar bills can kill your budget. Properly! Rough numbers. Flights 10k Accom 6k (self catered) lift pass 2k Airport shuttle R500 Spending cash. 5k (30 Euro a day)
  25. 30-40 euro for a day pass. Give or take depending where you are. But then it gets cheaper the more days you buy. 6 day pass +- 120 Euro. Around 5k would buy you a season pass in most resorts. If you budget on 3k a day all in you can have a very very very very nice Alps biking trip. I'm off to cry myself to sleep now. chat later.
