  1. If any of you want to know what cycling in Mallorca is like......
  2. Look at electrical supply stores. You'll get the same thing for 1/50th of the price. The adhesive doesn't last as others have said. but nothing a neat application of super glue won't solve. I've had those guides on my one bike since 2012.
  3. The only way a Harley is making it all the way to Windhoek is on a trailer.
  4. They're on the never in 1000 years list.
  5. It's more of a catch all I don't want my life to like be like that again than an actual scenario. But you get the picture. But getting back to the question. Bike at the airport? No fkn way. The only time I let something with 2 wheels out of my sight is when it's behind a locked garage door bolted to the floor. You okes think those security guards are there to protect your stuff hey? Did I ever tell you guys about the time the security guard was holding his torch for the oke breaking into my nieces car? Just take an Uber Hairy.
  6. Still firmly at #1 Never in a Million years list 1. Parking my bike at the airport and then getting on a plane 2. Watching Keeping up with the Kardashians in bed with my ex wife 3. Voting ANC.
  7. Parking a bike at the airport is firmly on the never in a million years list for me.
  8. Yeah cool. Coz every time I got off a 450 Moto my first thought was this thing needs more power.
  9. Hi David. Any of the trainers you listed will work fine. I have an Elite Zumo (precursor to the Suito) and I've not had a single day's issue. There does seem to be a lot of issues with Wahoo's but you could also explain that due to the market share they enjoy. I had to buy an additional adapter to run a 148mm axle but that was R150. Don't be shy to try out the other apps. Almost all of them have a free trial period. although to be honest you're probably going to end up back at Zwift.
  10. My wife's road bike and my road bike are both stored in the tradies bog in the garage. Happy now?
  11. My wife and my roadbikes live in the tradies bog. along with our helmets and shoes.
  12. Sorry I meant to use joke font.
  13. 1 bike. Way too much Maap & Rapha in that pic. No W2W kit. No Argus or 94.7 medals. I'm calling BS.
  14. Rather this. PLEASE!
  15. Soooo. As reported last week you can link an AR video from Rouvy's library to a workout. I did a Rouvy workout on Friday. it was an hour and a bit workout. The route I chose was a Ventoux climb. So in the hour I figured I'd "cover" 12-14km and do about 500-600m of fake elevation. Give or take. The stats that came out were 30ish something km and no elevation. so basically it was just the video playback from the route matched to the power I was pushing out. Certainly a step in the right direction but for workouts matched to video the winner for me is still Sufferfest.
  16. No. Because they don't break.
  17. Nice. Total Zwift clone but that's not such a bad thing is it? It's really not bad for a beta which let's be honest is what it is. Hopefully they get a fully operational version going before they run out of money and compete with Zwift. If the pricing isn't stupid and they can do a pc version I might look at it. For now I'm gonna stick to Rouvy. But that is 100% because of pricing. I think Zwift is still the clear leader in the space
  18. Looks pretty tidy. I'm on PC so I can't test it. But someone on here please give it a go and report back. I do think Zwift could do with a little competition. The offering is great but the pricing is prohibitive for me and my little family.
  19. 100% agree. They do have the formula pretty spot on tho. One has to admit.
  20. So in news that's gone almost unnoticed on this here forum. Rouvy now offers workouts on AR routes. So can smash intervals while your little cartoon man rides up the tourmalet and a bunch of iconic climbs instead of the saaaaaame boring old Alp du Zwift And they have an incredibly basic beginner training plan. I'm sure that's the start of things to come. Add to that I have myself, my wife and my step daughter all linked on the 1 $15 subscription makes it a bit of a bargain.
  21. I trawled through the classifieds in the OP's price range in Gauteng and IMO that Super Six is indeed the one. Well spotted. And here I thought you were just biased towards Cannondale. Of the 2 bikes originally posted by the OP I'd go for the KTM. The Merida has a non series crank and brakes. And a Scultura is about as exiting as watching Big Brother reruns.
  22. Sure. But what does a 4 wheel equivalent cost. What does a street legal track focused Porsche cost? 4 million?
  23. That's hot. I love middleweight sports bikes. I kinda wish Honda would remake the RVF. That sweet singing little V4 in a modern chassis with modern brakes and Geo. With the single sided swing arm of course. And in Cabin Honda colors. Fans of Rossi (The honda years will know what I'm talking about) If that became a reality I'd buy one.
  24. In an Isuzu you have no choice but to be chilled. On a less jovial note. Yesterday afternoon I rode past a guy on a motorbike lying on the ground in Camps Bay. I couldn't figure out what was going on and if there was a car involved. He looked a little dazed and confused but not seriously injured. The crowd of cell phone toting gawkers was DISGUSTING.
  25. Mine was an 08. Which for me was the prettiest version of that under seat exhaust CBR. And I love the race replica color ones. The underseat exhaust wasn't without it's challenges. on a hot day in traffic you'd end up with a set of hard boiled eggs in no time. I shudder to think what it would be like for a pillion.
