  1. Lip ice at an angle across the tops of my eyebrows. Sweat runs along the lip ice line and down the side of my face. I also use a Bufff. Both great options.
  2. I popped a rotator cuff in a fall once. Had to have the shoulder repaired. Off the bike for a while. Shoulder is now as good as new. Just listen to the doctors advice and do the physio thing. Don't rush it.You do not want on going problems .
  3. I did it, no problems . Since you so far behind you may have to re input your personal data as I am sure I lost mine during one of the upgrades. Not on this upgrade though.
  4. With a tandem rear wheel?
  5. The strike stuffed things around. Hope things go back to normal soon .
  6. You inbox is going to get full. I am sure the guys will appreciate your assistance.
  7. I believe around Villiers road and 6th avenue Walmer.
  8. Just got the call, my goods are at the post office.7 days from OR tambo customs to PE. Gives a new meaning to snail mail. Anyone else got their kit?
  9. 011 961 6200/6000 or 0860 11 502 . I seem to get best response 011 961 6000. They say the delay can be up to 3 weeks.
  10. Politics at it's best. . Why can't we put our egos in our pockets and let our best athletes get on with the job. F%@&K this red tape pisses me off.
  11. It may be so but read their reasoning, they are being charged 9% for the on-line transaction. They are being transparent up front. They could have up the fees by another 10% and kept quiet. Rather this way than paying an extra 10%.
  12. I just spoke with him. He has found a partner. He is looking at a 10 h30.
  13. I have a friend looking for a team mate. He is strong.
  14. I think that the guys who did it this year are TRUE ironman. SA has never had it so hard. I believe St George was even more difficult.
  15. We only use a cyclist as a driver. The teams with wives and mothers and fathers doing the support create chaos. Tankman's advice is best.
  16. I saw that, it was a great deal.
  17. No it is not the norm. Customs are on strike , I think only at OR Tambo, thus the huge delay in posted goods. There is a thread which covers all the duties applied. Most bike spares are 0% plus vat. I recently brought in a light 1000 lumens , it cost me, this is from memory, R 30 admin and R 63 vat and R 450 for light .Total cost R 543. If you get a light locally for R 1000 then you have a good deal.
  18. Shock and amazement , I have just got an e mail informing me that my goods have been cleared at customs and are on the way. Duty also seems correct.
  19. My package from overseas has been lying with customs since 23 April. Almost daily e mails and phone calls are to no avail. This morning , after trying for an hour, I am eventually told that the customs will only start processing the paper work today, Oh and there is no guarantee that they will process my paper work this week,as there is a huge back log. They have been working with a skeleton staff as the casuals are all on strike. So those of you who have got your parts over the last few weeks have been the luck ones. I wonder what weird import tariffs they going to apply? 10 days to arrive in South Africa,25 days and counting to clear customs?
  20. How many millicandela in 1 lumen/steradian? The answer is 1000. Google is your friend.
  21. I can see it working. A different one for each major event. Perhaps add a medical tag that one can reflect your medical aid details. Should be popular with the youngsters.
  22. Enjoy the Freedom challange
  23. I hope you have entered as the entries are filling fast.
  24. Importing stuff is normally a breeze. Customs is on strike so who know what is going to happen.Like any Government department ,the ments do not want to work. :cursing: :cursing:
