  1. After completing IMSA and turning an ankle ,I was told by the sports doctor not to take any anti -inflammatories until my urine was back to the normal colour. The tabs can still affect your kidneys until they have recovered from the stress.
  2. It is a small price to pay for being able to enjoy life. Ashtma should never restrict what you do in life and if managed correctly you will be able to train and race as if you never had a problem. Many pro cyclist, rugby players and even Olympic swimmers are ashtmatic but manage their condition correctly and have gone on to achieve great heights in their chosen sport. Make the decisions, find the cash and start enjoying life again.
  3. I am in the same boat. I however see a specialist who manages my ashtma. I used to go no where without my ventezee, now days I only carry one with me on a ride or a run. The key is managing your condition. If done correctly your whole life will change. I find sucking on the end of a spray during an event is not ideal as this elevates your heart rate.So I suggest you find a a lung specialist and let him teach you how to manage your condition, it sure changed my life.
  4. I tend to agree with Aero,he was in discussions when the seller sold to another party. Not good but **** happens. You snooze you loose.
  5. If this was a CSA sanctioned event then Unicycles are allowed in the circus.
  6. e mail says support, I am sure it refers to the 20 early entries.

  15. She was the 6th name out of the draw. She said from the start that she would win it. Power of positive thought.
  16. I do not like the road race( I do not feel safe on the N2),it is either that or the paddle, me thinks the paddle wins hands down.
  17. I did my first Xterra in Knysna. I am hooked . It was a fantastic event.Bikes took a hammering with all the mud.As for the run up the hill Eish. Other than a great event my wife finished her 2nd Knysna Exterra by winning the KTM mountain bike in the lucky draw. I think the big 5 will be a great option. Will have to learn to paddle though.
  18. My 5c worth. I think they based their pricing on a olympic distance being more or less a half IM 70.3 distance, so they charged half the fee for 70.3 and 1/4 the price of a full IM.I may do one if it comes to PE to say I have got the T shirt but still feel that it is a rip off.
  19. The " idiotic race referees" are individuals who give up their time in order for us to do what we enjoy. With out them we will not have an event. While one or two may implement the rules like little hitlers, I think that you are being unfair to paint them all with the same brush. I am sure that many of them will be approached to assist with challenge Cape Town.
  20. I think that the entry fee is too much for an Olympic distance tri.
  21. I used the program found at Begginer Tri Athlon. It worked well for me.

  24. There was a huge police and private security chase.Cars and Helicopter all over the valley until the chopper had to make an emergency landing in the bush at Fairview. Thankfully not much damage and no one hurt. But thumbs up to the cops. They are very evident at the moment.
  25. You need all your senses to stay alive on the road,I can not understand why people constantly put themselves at risk
