one of the best stage races we have . i dont enjoy stage races at the best of times ( im a XCO kind of muppit ) ( stage races are normally bouring open road trails , blleeeee ) but this race has some of the best whipping single track in SA, great climbs with fast flowing single track that will blow your mind . i have done three and its the one race i will not miss . just enter it and do it , you will be back i promise .

rode the spruit this past weekend from home ( enenvale ) , been while since i been on it and i big thank you needs to go out to the people who are cleaning it up ( vegitation ect ). also saw some signage warning riders against a hijacker ( pic of him on a board ) . But sadley i must say the number of vagrants on the bryanston side up to fritellies is worse than i have ever seen , they everywhere , so please gents/ladies on that side of the spruit be careful and ride in numbers .

I could not afford the full fork , so they only gave me half .................... Citec is a small German wheel company that has to be the most passionate wheels builders around , old school German phalociphy . great wheels , all hand build with a 5 year no spoke break guarantee , not many companies boast that .although not new to the world of wheels , they are new to SA.

hands down the most responsive wheels i have ever ridden ( and i have ridden alot of wheels )!! my new Citec's .

Eldron knows this clown who lubes his chain one link/ one drop at a time , making sure the lube flows nicely into each link section . the man has issues .

go to the AA website , they have a calculator to work out the running costs of specified cars . its horrid to know what the cars actually costs are per km .my truck is R 4 per km ( thats diesel , maintanace ect ) .

avg 725km in the last 28days , thats a saving for me of R2900 according to the AA rates of my car . commuting i avg about 700 odd km per month over and above normal training .

my work horse . this bike takes a beating and just keeps going , day in and day out .

a helmet is desined to compress or in some cases depending on impact break thats how it absorbes the shock. cheap lids tend to just break but more expensive lids do a little more buy compressing before breaking ( thus the reason you pay top dollar for good lids ). So if you are happy to have your pip crack or compress when you fall , go for it ! just do a good job so that no one in your family has to feed you and change your nappies for the rest of your life , couse thats not fair on them . bejond me how we are debating wering helmets , whats the planet coming to.
