    Give it a TRI

Swim was great , the cycle was on the tough side for a tri as the cradle is not flat plus the heat made it a challange. the run however was brutal , hands down the hardest 21 i have ever done of any kind . it had about 4km of trail that you started and finished on with about 366m of climbing in stupid hot heat so to finish was tough .

    Give it a TRI

its worth the drive to Cradle , you can spend a morning and to two sessions. We race the Ultra yesterday and that dam is one of the best we have, not much risk of getting a loose gut so to speak .
  4. thank you for sharing this and a massive amount of respect !!
  5. So Us cyclist generally dont make good runners but yesterday i saw true grit in a runner on a bicycle. Had the pleasure of supporting a good friend on her first 94.7 and her 4th time on a bicycle and she finishing in a respectable 3h52 on a mtb . Well done to all the runners who did 94 and to those who did skyrun , had to mates there and im blown away by that event .
  6. lekker , thanks going to pedal later so kind of my thinking too . thank you
  7. ok may have 2min of time from all you experienced runners . i "tried " a easy recovery run this morning and holy molly my legs hatted me after kaaps ( i managed a limped 2km ) am i running again too soon ? going riding this afternoon as im sure the low impact there will be a bit better on me.
  8. Super super happy for you , well done Mattie
  9. With all the technology available on Garmins ect its so easy to pace yourself now days, not sure what watch you using i know on mine i had two screens only ( current pace and Avg pace ) and had 3 pre goal worked out ( plan A-B-C ) and just did what i could . in saying this a buss is a lot more viby if you get the right guy
  10. dont be mean, Im a sensitive soul .
  11. Also running in Freedoms and Im at 535km and they still fine, i can add that the heel box is a little softer and has less structure than my Kinvara's that have done about the same milage however the sole of the freedoms in in way better condition than the kinvaras , i feel i will go well over 1000km in the freedoms.I wish i could take the top of the kinvaras and fit them to the sole of the freedoms im a "normal " runner so to speak so I strike basically ball of foot to flat.
  12. Howzit Bud, I been running - silly sport but somehow i keep trying to get it right.
  13. Sub 2 at SBR ( full loop ) was always proven to produce sub 3 at 94.7 . Im sure that even with the reverse loop this will still stand as a good test.
  14. Thanks Bud , did not like that route.
  15. Generally speaking a specific CX/Gravel type bike will use 12mm f & r ( giant tcx, canyon, norco as as examples as 12mm ) However some companies are use Mtb std 15 f & 12 r ( santa cruz stigmata as example ). Some frames also use post mount mtb calipers and some flatmount so there is allot to taker note of.
  16. Was good to see you Bud, Hope we can hookup at the next one ( not sure whats next for me )
  17. so like happy new year to all the runners here . hope the festive season was good to you all , i realized after Saturdays park-run that i had too much beer drinking time and need to do some work. happy training to you all and good luck with whatever you have planned for the year.
