  1. How about a Hope HB.130? Well I assume that's out of the price range with our wonderful exchange rate... Also not sure on the weight.
  2. I think the original price was around the 20K mark...
  3. Many thanks to Hubber Dirt Addict07 for the templates for the decals. Once I had the templates, it was simply a case of finding a local company to make them, and a little patience...
  4. I would just get a cheap 3-4K training bike. Cheap chains/cassettes, and the 'better/racing' bike doesn't get any wear, AND there's no swapping from alu to carbon brake pads or re-centering the disc calipers
  5. Talking about pricing... https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/road-bike-frames/416480/de-rosa-king-3-full-carbon-frame-and-fork
  6. I don't know if they're on the Hub, but worth checking out I'm sure.
  7. Found this article quite interesting. A bit of the history pertaining to SA frame builders: https://www.google.com/amp/s/mg.co.za/article/2013-09-13-00-fixed-assets-a-bicycle-frame-of-mind/%3famp
  8. Over the last couple of months I've developed an itch for a retro roadie. Not exactly sure where the itch came from, but hey..... This frame popped up in the classifieds a little ways back. Not 100% sure how it landed in my hands yet, but some mysteries are simply unsolvable I guess... The frame's been powder coated, so if someone knows where to get original decals that'd be nice... Once I get a few more bits I'll be able to build it up.
  9. So.....Bikemarket for all the components on Bikehub.....
  10. Sorta, but I still have individual modulation:
  11. Received my fork and brakes back from droo yesterday, which left only one logical thing to do today.......
  12. Can also recommend BOMB. I'll cover shipping costs if you do decide to send it there.
  13. The only time I use earphones while cycling is solo mtb rides on very secluded dirt roads. If I want to listen to music on the road, I have a JBL Clip that I zip-tie to my handlebar. It's plenty loud, and still allows me to be aware of my surroundings.
  14. I'm looking for a new pair of running shoes. They have to have a boa dial for closing, or a similar method, but I do not want laces. I'm looking for a store either in Sandton, or somewhere in the East Rand. Any recommendations?
  15. I was today years old when I figured out that the little bump on the bottom of a weed eater is meant to be bumped on the ground, while you're weed-eating! I've always stopped the eater, and pulled out some more cable by hand... This is the first time in my life I'm actually excited to trim the lawn, which I guess constitutes as good news.....
