Grazie Valé. A 10th place in his final race. Been my hero on a motorcycle for many many years. Tear in my eye, end of a era. Gonna be many a year before his accomplishments will be surpassed.
  2. Man o Man, what a sweet build!! I'm in LOVE.......
  3. Tragic news. RIP Rider, and condolences to his family and friends.
  4. Thank you to the kind Hubber who offered me his redundant 10spd Tanpan after he upgraded to a full 11spd groupset. ???? Fitted it in a few minutes, took a few minutes more to finetune it on the stand, and a short ride to further fine tune it on the road. Shifting is "good enough" for my style of riding, no ghost or drop shifts encountered after final fine tune. Also a special thank you to Milky for the photo's of his setup, it helped me a lot in getting mine set up and dialed in.
  5. Phone on Monday, and speak to Janus. He told me they have in stock during the past week. (not on their website, I looked)
  6. In no particular order 1)Evobikes 2)Droo comes to mind immediately.
  7. The Tanpan? Yes it is, just at a premium for such a small item.
  8. I do have a 9spd Altus derailer fitted, but the chain slap on it is horrible on anything but smooth tar. It does work smoothly though. Want a derailer with a clutch, or at least a stiffer "parallelogram spring" to eliminate the chain slap. Could not find a decent XT/XTR rd when I at first did the build a year or so back, so I had to settle on a new Altus at a pricepoint I was happy with.
  9. Anyone had success with fitting a Tanpan with 10 spd 105 shifters coupled to a 10 spd XT (RD-M786) ? This is the combination I am aiming for (not for any other reason than necessity, as it is what I have to work with) Any special tricks in setting this up to work, and does it work flawlessly, or just good enough?
  10. Congrats Hayley and Hubby.
  11. After a broken spoke or two as the rivet jams in the wheel (is how I experienced it when the original rivet came loose)????
  12. Was thinking of it. Just worried it might not have the necessary tensile strength.
  13. That's just the plastic spacer between the sprockets that's hanging loose. The missing rivet keeps it in place.
  14. The replacement one is still going without a hitch.
  15. I must admit, this cassette was replaced at least 3 years back, and this was the first and last time I've ever heard of, or seen a failure like this. Supplier replaced it without a hassle, and as you can see, I've still got the failed one in my possession.
  16. I have fairly new Sunrace 11-46 cassette on which one of the rivets that keeps the 46 tooth sprocket connected to the rest of the cassette, has fallen out. The cassette was replaced under warranty, but I was wondering if there was a way to replace this rivet, to make the cassette usable again. Any ideas out there?
  17. Servicing a Shimano derailer clutch is a 5 minute exercise, and can be done on the bile. Got a tub of Shimano Derailer Grease from #EVOBIKES, did not cost a lot, and I now have a lifetime supply of it. (you use only a smidge of it between the friction spring and the clutch drum) Top Tip: before removing the clutch assembly, back the friction adjustment screw a turn or two back to ease the removal of the friction spring from the clutch drum, and just return it to the original adjustment when putting together again.

Nah, he did not try and run Pecco of the track, Pecco managed that all on his own. So no foul play. lol.....

What a stunning race. 10th place for Vale in his farewell hometown race.
  23. Yoh, lots of crashes and mechanicals this morning. Looks like Haylee Preen is out with a broken wrist after a crash. ????
  24. Tx M, will do so as soon as I can get one in my grubby hands.
