  1. Will do.
  2. Used to be in Corporate Cleaning, trying to get my own little cleaning Company going, but finding it tough in the current situation. Also used most of my savings (maybe a not so clever move) to buy the rights to sell and install a liquid rubber product similar to the well known Ecorubber, in Western Cape. Good product, good business model, but bad timing, as product can't be applied in the wet, for obvious reasons. Luckily lots of peeps are now wanting to have their leaking roofs sorted out, so lots of interest in my product and services. Due to the rain we're having, I'm unfortunately sitting at home, banging away at the keyboard, and not on roofs making money. Lol....
  3. All I took out of this, is that you lost your Job. Sorry to hear, especially in the current climes. I truly hope you have something to fall back on. I lost my job end of December (instead of the expected small Bonus, I got a dear John letter instead) Since then I've been looking for other gainful employment, with no success (too old, too white and too Afrikaans, lol.....) Still fighting with UIF to just acknowledge my claim or to give me an indication if and when I can expect a payout. Used most of my savings to survive up to now, and also trying to get a new business established. But hey, I've managed to keep all my accounts up to date, and food on my table, so I can't complain, there is a lot of people worse of than me. Best of luck for you going forward.
  4. Snap.. Exactly what I told him to do.
  5. Sent you a PM.
  6. Road or Mtb? Lol....
  7. He's still alive. Great to see you are still around Linnega.???? Another "voice of reason" from the past.
  8. Sorry, then I'm not as hardcore as you. ???? That final section just before the split where you drop off into the Cobra section was quite rutted and around the sharp switchbacks you had to keep your wits about you. But hey, maybe my technical "climbing skills" are just not up to par.
  9. Pity that Spykers Climb had to be rehabilitated. Some of the steeper switchback sections were becoming quite a technical challenge. Finding the right line and getting around the corners were quite difficult without dabbing a foot down.
  10. 'Dale, I still chuckle to myself every time I see you contribute to the MTB threads. I distinctly remember trying to get you to join us on the trails, and you were quite adamant about your reason for not riding gravel/off road. But hey, I'm glad to see you are dabbling on the dark side these days, so no judgement on my side. LOL.....
  11. At least you said nothing about my hairy legs....lol.
  12. Hairy, modern vehicles are quite sensitive to voltage and resistance. I fitted a set of LED bulbs to my VW Polo's tail lights, starting throwing me an EPS warning on the instrument panel. Swopped the LED's back to standard bulbs, and no EPS warnings again.

Nope, not thinly veiled outrage. I JUST DON'T LIKE HIM, PERIOD. Even he rides a Yamaha, I would not like him. (just like I did not like Jorge) And at least Miller and Zarco are both on Ducati's (and therefore sort of like team mates, so them helping each other out is OK in my books)

Arrogant little ass. I would have waited for him to get real close, and then brake check him. At least he did not phase Brad too much when he tried the same tactic with him. Brad knew he was not fast enough to help the little @%$#^ get pole. But then again, Vinales should also just have let his riding do the talking.

My application for renewal of both my Firearm Licenses has been in since October 2020, and both the current pieces of plastic is past their sell by dates. When asking at our local license renewal office, I got told it could still be a while (we all saw those photo's, so we know why). In the meantime I have to lug my expired license, expired competency certificate and the A4 sized piece of paper stating I have applied for renewal, with me every time I want to carry or transport any of them......
  19. I found my own work around to get to the topics / threads I follow and is active on. Go to '' My Account'' , click on ''My Forum Content'' and Voila............ It's only one more click than before.
  20. That is still better than nothing. I started working in 1982, and this is the first time I had to claim/draw UIF, so I will take whatever I can get. The last person at UIF I spoke to, said that my first payout will be backdated to date of claim, so I really hope this is true, I can do with that extra bit.
  21. Nope, not received as yet.
  22. The last time I was fortunate enough to get through was on 06 April, where the Lady I spoke to did a count down for me, saying I should receive the e-mail in the week 11 - 15 May 2021, and she checked on the system saying that all is in order, only the mail for me to do the "Continuation of Benefits" bits was what was still outstanding. So I am loath to risk going into a queue, only for the process to start afresh. My savings are running out quickly now, I need the payout ASAP.
  23. Since registering my Online UIF Benefits Claim on 27/01/2021 and after following up on 22/02/2021, only to find out there was additional info required and which I promptly provided, I have not had a single payout as yet. I was told to wait for a "Continuation of Benefits" e-mail before the payment will be done, but even that is still not forthcoming. I tried calling the UIF helpline on 080 003 0007, and where I had previous success getting through eventually, it has not been the case lately. I tried at least five times a day since Monday past, with no luck. The phone rings, go over the recorded "lift music" and then nothing else. After a while the line just goes dead. Sending an e-mail to their Complaints address has had the the same response, NOTHING AT ALL!!!!???????? Does anyone have an alternative way of contacting them? Going to their physical / local office is of no use, as they cannot assist you if you registered online, you must register a new claim with them, and then the whole process starts over. PLEASE HELP, I'M AT MY WITS END.
