  2. I am keen for that. You can count me in.
  3. Mine has worked perfectly. No issues pairing. Marmit: I told you, the 910xt already.
  4. I have swum run and mountain biked with mine. Its been awesome. I love it. I crashed with it on and put it straight into the dirt, no issues. I haven't had any issues with the swimming. The data you get is really awesome, both during and after the swim. I haven't done any open water swimming with it yet, looking forward to doing some in summer. Was definitely worth every cent I paid for it.
  5. Had a warranty claim on a buckle. Phoned them yesterday and the replacement parts arrived this morning. Very unexpected. Thank you.
  6. Sunninghill has just changed the Tomahawkes for Technogym. Must have been in the last week or so.
  7. Lol, I have both pedals. I prefer the Candy's. I also told my brother the same thing "Never had a problem... bla bla..." and then pedal came off the spindle one morning while riding. Anyway I still prefer my Candy's and went out same day and got a new set.
  8. The bearings disintegrate, had it happen the other day. However I way prefer the feel to my shimano. So I went and bought another pair. My thoughts are buy the cheaper ones and the internal build is exactly the same. The only difference is weight. The cheapest ones still weigh less than the Shimano xtr.
  9. So glad I got mine from the states now. R1300 discount
  10. Wish I had a hover bike!
  11. Also stay in Sunninghill and ride pretty much every weekend. You're more than welcome to join.
  12. I think the above image is the easiest way to understand the training cycle. Over training and under recovery pretty much go hand in hand. I would say though that either can be the cause of your problem. For example you can over reach in your training to a point that no amount of recovery can help. You can also be an average athlete with work commitments putting in and hour a day and not over exerting yourself in anyway, but not getting the neccesary amount of rest due to late nights stress at work etc. This can put you into an under recovered state (although similar to overtrained). Essentially its just the cause that's different.
  13. Nice!
  14. PPO? peak power output? and lactic threshold. I am not dissing the test I have done many. The point was in reference to the watts per kg and the 20min test, also the table that was provided. I still maintain that the test would need to be done as a time trial and the average watts used if you want to compare yourself to elite athletes.
  15. To be honest I am not sure the ideal way to do it in a cycling situation. It worked extremely well in rowing as our races are short. 6:00 - 7:00min so we could go flat out and get an average wattage. from there it is very simple to divide by weight and compare with athletes around the world. Cycling is different in length and intensity, so what test would you use as standard? But the figures in that table resemble exactly what we would use in rowing. Problem I have with a ramp test is first its designed to find VO2, second it doesn't really tell you if you are fit enough to win a race or tt at any particular level. where if you time trial 20mins and take an average, it gives you a far more accurate idea of where you are. Also regarding the spectrum of riders and self pacing. It will be very clear that if you can't pace yourself to your max over 20min, you won't win a international medal.
  16. It would have to be balls, but agreed you cannot blow as you would have to take your ave watts for the 20min. No good taking a section where you worked hard.
  17. That sounds right, when we were rowing if you were achieving 5 or above you were knocking on the door for a world champs medal. Around 6 and you could almost taste it.
  18. I am in, paid. Got two crazy mates coming with too. It is going to be a crazy one.
  19. For sure, much better option. Not sure why the price in S.A. is so high. Also not sure where @Zac.A is getting his from cause I never found anywhere close to under R3000. But if that is the price I would seriously talk to him, cause that's a very good price. The price I have seen most places ranges from about R3600 - R3750 before vat.
  20. From US it cost total with vat about R4100.
  21. From US. Friend is getting his on Monday from CRC. My only advice from US is don't use their free post. Took forever. CRC seems to be quicker.
  22. Just received mine today. Whoop!
  23. Wear 2 pairs of pants if your bum starts to hurt. If your bum gets sore go to the 'bum clinic'.
  24. I think its because no matter how long it takes riding in Sabie is awesome. Everyone who finished is also stoked they finished such a tough one. Feels like you achieved something.
  25. It was brutal. I expected it to be tough but I don't think I was quiet ready for that. All in all though it is still an awesome race. I heard a rumor about that 2nd last water point! Like an idiot its the only one I never stopped at. Fail!!
