  1. I really like that, how am I gonna get a 3rd kona past the fiancee. She doesn't understand that they are all different.
  2. I went to CRC and got the DMR chain tensioner kit. Comes with spacers for the hub, a 16t cog and of course the tensioner. As you can see you literally strip everything that isn't needed. I only have a back break at the moment which works fine. And then you have a jol, its a ton of fun.
  3. Here is my black bike.
  4. My one at the moment is a toy, but what a fun ride. its really awesome. Once I have a front brake I will put some knobblies on and enter it in some MTB races. Will probably do 94,7 mtb on my normal bike and the 94,7 road on the ss.
  5. Finally I have completed my project. Well... sort of. Still need grips and a working fron brake. But for now its quite fun riding with just the back brake. Judy also makes it feel like a rigid up front.
  6. I highly recommend this course. My suggestion is send your brother to the course as I did. Then like this recent weekend you can watch him excitedly service your fork while you provide good conversation and drink a beer. Anyways my fork is serviced and working excellently.
  7. Yeah they should, but they won't. You can't complain about their service casue there isn't any. If you want service go somewhere else.
  8. 2007 a pair of canadians, have a pic of them at the finish, will find it later and post it. The did it proper rigid front forks.
  9. Yeah I agree, not going to support cwc untill they invite us to their photo shoots.

  11. Tubeless for mtb is the best ever. search the hub for the do it yourself conversion. Cheap and easy.
  12. Always, never race without a quickie. Calms your thoughts and lets you focus. Not too mention the amazing sleep you get the night before the race.
  13. Awesome, I had the same problem. 1 month old tyre. Tried to fix it and the plug kept popping out. Going to give the car patch thing a go.
  14. I have ridden with xt for 3 years now. i have done the epic and many races on the same derailure. The only thing I can suggest is learn how to set it up yourself and learn how the system works. i have never let a bike shop touch my bike. That way if there is a real probllem i know how to fix it myself. i can also judge whether the problem is parts related or cable related. Majority of time its just sticky cables or limits that aren't set properly. Cable problems can be fixed very easily by lightly oiling the cable and cleaning the housing with the oil. The housing at the derailure is usually the problem as it collects the most dust.
  15. So If the Riders going up stick left. and the one's coming down stick right..... does that not = crash?
  16. I agree totally if this silly behaviour persists news may spread and others may try the same thing. Who knows what could happen, peace in the middle east, Cradle residents and Cyclists getting along....
  17. Hi, I ride breedsnek quite often. I have also ridden on the other side near the Dam. There are tons of tracks and they are really good. As far as saftey goes i doubt anyone would be waiting specifically to Hi Jack you. But you know how things are, it is always good to err on the safe side. Pm RobRider he has a few tracks that he can suggest and maybe email you.
  18. Hi all, i also did the extra loop, can handle that joke. But the ladies and bicycles thread dissapearing is just not funny.
  19. Wow I love kona. Please let us know when you have frame prices. Especially for the watt.
  20. Ummm. So whats the outcome. Is this a good wheel?
  21. Night Rider. Terrible comeback.
  22. Lame - I just bought one this weekend.
  23. How long before you could wash dishes and do the ironing? Ha ha I still can't. Dr said it isn't a good idea.

  25. I was riding down the center concrete on a foot bridge crossing over the highway. the part thats raised up between the stairs on either side. Did it from halfway no problem, so my brother says "why don't you try it from the top". The result was two broken wrists that needed surgery and a broken elbow. Dented ego as well.
