  1. Time to go 1x?
  2. Nice article! Had a slow ride hone today. Broke a spoke on my rear wheel today. My MT bike will get some work tomorrow!
  3. Glad you ok. Always try and lookout for other vehicles. Drivers seem to lose the little brains they have, add some rain or cellphone, and it can becomes chaos very fast. As said above, post what size wheel you have and I am sure someone may be able to help!
  4. Also been the coldest day for me in Polokwane. Commuted today as I am taking the car tomorrow. Commute was cold but not that bad. However, the wind was blowing straight into work. I work at a tyre shop so everything is open. Only warm now that I am lying in bed with a hot water bottle! Stay warm all
  5. Daai lyk soos die pad na my huis. Sit nog net n paar sandkolle by!
  6. Really wish my finances would allow it. Unfortunately my bantam decided to give problems and my son is costing a small fortune at the moment. No way I could swing it unless I sell some body parts! May not be a bad idea, haha!!!
  7. This bug does seem to be serious this year. It just doesnt seem to leave a person completely. As said above the postnasal seem to stay with a person.
  8. To work and later back home. Was a very misty morning, was soaked when I got to work. The afternoon trip was tough. Body tired and still not 100% after the flu,and had a headwind all the way from town. Some pics from this morning
  9. Yup, flu needs rest, the thing I didn't do. Now it has taken me about 2 weeks instead of the 3-5 days as it should have. Lesson, listen to your body, not your work schedule!!!
  10. Good luck to you all. You seem to have it a lot worse than me. Started feeling semi human again today. Will still give it the rest of the week to recover. One of my biggest weakness is not waiting to recover correctly and then taking longer to heal.
  11. Yup, seems like it will be another week before I am back on the bike.
  12. This time of year. Been off the bike for the whole week. Got the flu, wife had bronchitus(spelling). Very frustrating as I was just getting back to fitness. Reboot and start again next week hopefully!
  13. Makes me glad to be commuting where I am. That is more incidents than I have in a month. Stay safe!
  14. Pity I am working. Would love to do it. Already had my off Saturday for the month booked for the Makhulu5. Hope it is a good event.
  15. Somedays ones legs just go AWOL! Had no energy yesterday. At least have an excuse for taking the car today. Have a meeting after work.
  16. Event Name: Makhulu 5 When: 16 February 2019 Where: Mall of the North, Limpopo Category: MTB Makhulu 5 XCM event Limpopo quilifier Go to Event Page
  17. Glass, there seems to be more after every weekend. Have had the experience of a 2 week old tyre destroyed by glass. Luckily it was only a block from work and I managed to find the last 700x40c tyre in the whole of Polokwane. There is only 3 bike shops, 2 half decent, the other more for commuters and kids bikes. Seems to be getting worse, like the bottles are getting babies! Good idea to ride a new route before you actually use it for commute! Enjoy
  18. My commute is the only thing that is keeping me sane. Work stress under current economics getting hard to handle. Positions are not getting filed witch is putting higher workload on me. I am in retail and December is just starting. Feel your pain. Just keep riding!
  19. Wow, one lucky girl! Nice job!
  20. Started cycling when my wife got a job. She works out of town and had to do a detour into town and back out to the plot. We only had 1 vehicle then. Takes about 30% longer by bike but the benefits to training and general mood makes commuting worth it.
  21. Lucky lady. Hope she enjoys it!
  22. Still waiting on Quote!
  23. I can do with a dual suspension. So it is done!
