  1. Titan is on a roll. First their gravel bike, then commuter, dual and now a great hardtail. Once this lockdown is over I may need to have serious look at one of these.
  2. There goes my gravel riding. Luckily I have 5hectares. Could do some running to check my fences!
  3. Will still be riding as I mostly ride alone. On leave for 2 weeks. Was put in before all this Covid19. Live on a small holding with few people. Nearest neighbor half a km away. May do some long gravel rides that I don't normally get time for. A person has to stay active and mentally sane. Riding helps with that.
  4. I am still riding. Just take care as we all should!
  5. Yesterday home.
  6. Hi, you could always send that Lauf fork up north!Really nice bike! One day I will also own a TI bike.
  7. I would love to able to run 29x2.2 tyres on a frame and change to say 700x35 or 38c tyres (2nd wheelset) if I do a road event. Hoping to be able to do the Kremetart this year, missed it the last 2 years due to work obligations. Maybe in 2 years time when my son's studies are paid I may be able to buy a bike again. Seriously look at a steel or titanium frame then.
  8. Really like this. Wish my Fuji could take bigger wheels at times. Our road can get badly corrugated and sandy at times. At other times it can resemble a river. Season depending! I have put around 10000km on the fuji.
  9. Love my Fuji. Use it as my commuter. I have 8-10km gravel to town and is almost perfect for that. My Momson AL329 only gets ridden on the weekend.
  10. Had 2 days of good riding after about 2 weeks of nothing. Between the weather and being under the weather I was losing a lot of places. Dropped from 4 all the way to 8. At least back up to 7. Can feel the season is starting to change. The last 2 evenings had a bit of a bite to them. Need to get lights sorted will soon be dark by the time I get home.
  11. Still got a lingering flu/ sinus that doesn't want to let go. Been of the bike for most of the week.
  12. It should be better. Had the same problem with my phone earlier in the year. Hope it gets sorted, can be very frustrating.
  13. Had some issues with strava similar to that at the start of the year. Hoping to ride tomorrow, been of the bike for a couple of days. Last 2 days had a bit of flu symptoms and a sore throat. Rather took the car in. Felt better by this afternoon so will see what tomorrow brings!
  14. Lost 2 days this week 1 to a road that was more of a mudbath and 1 due to meeting after work. At least it was cycling related and there were a bit of red wine and pizza involved.
  15. I know, riding an old Momsen Al329. Would love an STR.
  16. Make no mistake, the wind can blow by us. Maybe not Cape Town, bit still bad. My hubname comes from my email when we were still do smallscale farming. The farm was named Wildwind Heritage Farm. It is open plains by us with very little trees to break the wind Enjoy
  17. Winter is good up north, a bit cold but generally dry. My issue is more with the rain and the road that becomes a mudbath. Enjoy!
  18. Seems like endomondo had a problem this morning. Kept telling me network error on my phone. Seems sorted now. Butterflies up north as well. Was close to Baltimore today for work and they were streaming across the road. Had a fair bit off wind today. Glad I dont have to fly in it like they do.
  19. Hairy, you almost got me. I will stay ahead for one more day, just! I am sure you will pass me sometime this week. Road was not so much fun. Freshly graded and very soft!
  20. I did ride. Hoping to do 25km home today again if its not raining again.
  21. Man, this is starting an itch that I cant scratch now! Really would love a steel hardtail, maybe a TI at some point.
  22. Ill be keeping an eye out for those frames. Hopefully I will have a budget for one off those steel frames. Would love one of the steel gravel Frames, just no money now!
  23. Glad I did not end in Hospital. Had a rather wet commute home today. May just take the car tomorrow as the road will be sludge. Photos was taken before any vehicles came by to turn the road to mud!
  24. Not dead. Never owned or ridden a dual suspension. They have always been out of my limited budget. Would love a steel or Ti hardtail.
  25. Thanks, all good. It is scary how quick things can happen. I luckaly looked back as I didnt even hear the car. Dont know how fast the car wad going, by the time I was back on my feet it was gone. Just a wake up call incase I needed one.
