  1. I'm a sucker for good storytelling and the Kiksuya episode of Westworld is a brilliant example of exactly that: Good storytelling. Don't think I've seen an episode of any other series recently that so perfectly and beautifully tells a tale.
  2. I kept waiting for him to start doing that whistling thing he did on GI Joe.
  3. I wish they'd make a series about Detectives Moore & Johnson. They're awesome. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. I watched one episode but I don't think I'm the target audience. Not saying it's bad, but I probably won't continue.
  5. Wow. Just... wow. Dreamfall by Frank Vedvik. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/nB0XK
  6. Shredded roast chicken, crispy bacon, Cajun spices, mayonnaise and tangy mustard sauce, dried chilli, toasted with cheddar cheese on brown bread with melted butter in a snackwich maker to perfection. It was delicious.
  7. There was a place called Vetkoek Maleis in Hatfield, Pretoria, that I used to frequent, especially after a night out. My favourite was the Chicken Surprise made with chicken mayonnaise, sliced Russian and a mustard sauce. Man, now I'm hungry. Was going to roast a chicken in the air fryer anyway for lunch and snacks, now I think I'm going to make snackwiches and create my own version of the Chicken Surprise. 8. Why do you do this to me? Why? Now I'm sitting here drooling... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. Just make your own jalapeno poppers, then you can adjust the spiciness level by removing the seeds. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Of course. You don't really expect me to walk from the couch to the beer fridge?! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. Double muscled, you say.
  12. I, for one, didn't much like the idea of him being on Masterchef Aus and was pleasantly surprised. Hopefully he's learned a bit about how to get more positive results by building people up instead of breaking them down. We're kind of desperate for series to watch as well. Besides Masterchef Australia, Westworld and Into the Badlands there's not much that gets me excited on TV at the moment. My brother started watching The Good Doctor. I found it okay, but it's too much like House MD with an autistic savant added as a gimmick for my liking. Anyway, watched the whole season and then my brother wanted to check out The Good Witch. I made about ten minutes before I decided I'd rather find something else to do. ANYTHING else. What a pile of steaming horse manure.
  13. Gotta say, I'm not the biggest Tom Toer fan, even though I've enjoyed some of his movies. Having said that, I'd rather see them doing a good sequel than another pointless reboot. On a completely unrelated note, guess which bike did I buy when I finally had enough money saved up in my 20s to buy a bike?
  14. I quite liked the cast, so I had hope that it would be at least moderately engaging. Yeah, acting was never Angelina's strongest talent, though she had some other assets that made her version of Lara Croft popular enough that the made a sequel..
  15. Tomb Raider (2018) 5/10. Underwhelming, to put it mildly. Good cast, average director, poor script, flat characters.
  16. Well that's all fine and dandy and I'm sure it tasted delicious, but I see no need for you to take the good people from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Melbourne, Australia, in vain in such a way.

  18. I made pork belly and damn, it came out good. Slightly over caramelized (though I'm choosing to call it Cajun blackened style ). I used a lazy version Gordon Ramsay's recipe, by grilling it in the oven rather than in a frying pan before cooking it with chicken stock. Also, instead of his spices I used a dry rub before the time and then added a meat marinade and BBQ sauce before putting it in the oven for the flavour. I'm happy with it but taking everything into consideration I have to say I still prefer pulled pork. It's just so much more versatile. https://www.gordonramsay.com/gr/recipes/slow-roasted-pork-belly/ I'm happy with it but taking everything into consideration I have to say I still prefer pulled pork. 19. Well now, who could have predicted that a show starring a Roseanne Barr and aimed predominantly at the supporters of Trump would have ended like this? I just feel sorry for the hundreds of people now unemployed. ABC drops Roseanne show after racist tweet http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-44294632
  20. Congrats to Siya Kolisi, our new Springbok captain.
  21. Oh, goody. Today is International Happiness Day or, as other people call it, International Burger Day.
  22. Does it count if I drink a Savanna?
  23. Now that I know how to make pulled pork sandwiches, I'm never going to stop. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  24. Oh wow. That was an excellent recommendation. Thank you!
