  4. hey cruzer, cant you get the merc sponsored for 2 weekends? that way pantani can have it one weekend for his 5k, and the the winner of the rest can have it another weekend. that way we get double the money?
  5. sorry to let you down Mux...apologies accepted. ...and so the hub was made a beter place in e-space, one post at a time Thanks you two, I am quite sure you two are great gals (no sexism intented) (sorry fand, doesnt look like we'll get the mud or jello wrestling this time, but the two are anyway continents apart)
  6. HUH????? shimano had a patent for a 14 speed cluster for more than 10 years now. and competition in road forced shimano to have everything from 105 (or is it tiagra from next year) to be 10 speed. and mtb?
  7. What is the "handgebrand" story about?
  8. these ones are just the "they are new, therefore they are pretty" syndrome prettiest shimano by far is shimano Sante and Shimano 600 Arabesque.
  9. where can i download and pay for movies locally?
  10. as JB said, a multitude of things. My trek 6500 did the same and I tried many things, bought new seatposts, but the problem persisted. eventually found out the trek's seat tube was a sleeve welded at the top to the seat tube. As it was a warrantee issue, it went to the agents who (and this is hearsay) squirted something at the bottom of the sleeve, then turned the frame around so it can fill the void between the seat tube and sleeve. creaking and squaking gone.
  11. klaarblyklik het my een ouma en oupa so ge-baklei of dit aartappel of ertappel is dat hulle sommige aande kwaad vir mekaar gaan slaap het ...
  12. http://www.cwcycles.co.za/wave_toolbox/ is this worth it, or rather buy the seperate tools? i dont care about the "everything together" bit, and have enough screwdrivers, allen keys, shifting spanners at home. the local shop has bbb, will that be ok, or must I get park tools? mtb stuff is shimano, most road stuff is campag. I do have one or two tools allready(like lockring remover, chainbreaker, campag bb remover, and one or two others probably) I dont intend getting any of the new shimano cranks anytime soon.
  13. not many times wiser words have been spoken on the hublowracer2008-06-26 05:10:49

  17. a waist is a terrible thing to mind... for 1 million us$ you can put 14 000 game special bicycles in africa
  18. hey, i have not even chirped anything yet
  19. bicycles are vehicles. according to law vehicles should not drive 2 abreast where there is only one lane. vehicles should obey road signs and stop at red robots and stop streets. vehicles should indicate when turning or stopping Vehicles should have adequate lights between dusk and dawn (and certain other conditions) vehicles should have a warning device (like a hooter) drivers of certain vehicles (like motorbikes, bicycles) should wear helmets ...therefore : cyclists should not cycle 2 abreast where there is only one lane cyclists should obey road signs and stop at red robots and stop streets. cyclists should indicate when turning or stopping with hand signs cyclists should use lights early morning and after sunset bicycles should have a warning device (like a bell) cyclists should wear helmets if you get irate when taxis dont obey the law, dont you think motorists will get irate if you dont. common courtesy and obeying the law will go a long way to fix it. In a game of playing chicken between a bicycle and a 2.5 to 2.5 ton moving object ... the squishy object on the bicycle will lose
  20. obviously only some idiot cyclists, that ride 2 or more abreast
  21. my guess is that you did not keep the bike upright. but if you did keep it upright, your right hand sti lever is installed really funny. cringe ouch lowracer2008-06-09 03:18:53
