  2. I wish PPA could pull their finger. Thanks for the great work that you're doing
  3. PPA to email members ones new Seeding results is available. That way I don't need to check my seeding all the time. Communication, communication, communication, communication, .......
  4. Another idea is for PPA to extend the Fun Rides to include specific longer/difficult routes 150km+ catering for the top seeded groups. Please refer to link: https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=84726&PID=1171571#1171571 Surely PPA together with CSA can work on this and this will improve the quality of the PRO riders here in SA. pritty please don't shoot me :-)
  5. Me funrider...me agree with Malcolm....me blame CSA....THE END

  7. I know Frank Adrian and he's an absolute demon on and offroad. Just take a look at his Argus time. He's from Namibia so has not got many local results yet. My bad but I guess you can see why I concluded what I did. Also this past weekend he only finished 63rd which is a huge drop from 6th place the previous week. I guess he could have had some mechanicals in the Tru Cape race. Any case the top guys in the Fair Cape Pointbreak MTB Challenge did not complete the full race distance.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  8. QUOTE] @rpedro: I see how that can be an issue. The Argus MTB challenge this year had a timing mat approximately halfway through the long route. Surely it's easy to see if a rider "cheated" and won a race ahead of other riders who have had far better performances than them. I think the only time it will be difficult to find out if the rider was a legitimate winner or not, is if they have no previous race results. Indeed however I am not too concerned about the actual winners (podium finishers) but it?s the rest of the finishers. Have a look at position number 6 (Frank Adrian) in Fair Cape Pointbreak MTB Challenge (55km) for instance. There could be loads more that go undetected ;-)<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  9. mikkelz Its an issue because people enter the long route and then decide to do the shorter route or take short cuts (sometimes not intentionally) and end up finishing tops. Route markings also contribute to confusion and people end up taking a wrong turn. Pedal power therefore does not know who completed the full race distance.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I think PPA need to introduce additional time mats on strategically places on especially the long MTB routes.
